FROG FRIENDLY...

Have you ever thought of how frogs are affected by humans desire to kill insects in gardens and on farms... frogs are our friends and their food source is generally insects, so we need to be sensitive to their needs if we want them to survive, for they are the barometer to our Planets health.
Spraying insecticides on your plants is detrimental to everything, except for the concrete ornaments in your garden.
The Worlds insect population has reduced dramatically in previous years, even the Honey Bees are suffering... a 27 year Worldwide study into insect populations has proven that Australia has lost around 40% of its insects and in some nations it is incredibly near 80%.
Our pollinator insects are badly affected and this of course affects food production, hand pollination of some food crops and now evident is the renting of millions of Bee hives on farms, this can be very expensive and is yet another blow for many people on the land.
It is known that frogs, small lizards and birds are badly affected when insects are killed by chemical spraying and in many places it is seen in the dramatic reduction of bird species... if you remember, the Common Sparrow was always seen in and around cities, under the table at the cafes, in our back gardens but now they are very few surviving and this goes for many of our once common birds in the country.
The effect doesn't stop there it goes up the food chain to larger and larger birds and animals and finally to we humans, we the clever ones on this planet, but now looking at this record... do we really care, are we so clever or just plain dumb?
We all know THE ANSWER... for God's sake stop using those bloody synthetic chemicals before it is too late, return to natural ways, reduce our population and stop thinking that WE are the most important thing on Earth.
Our Barometer is The Humble Frog and we see less and less of them every year...we can remedy this by not using Chemicals but spraying Seaweed because seaweed sprayed on the leaf of plants stops insect damage BUT seaweed never kills a thing, it is an INSECT FRIENDLY INSECTICIDE for your crops on the farm or in your garden and let's face it, seaweed is so safe you can bath in it. We were very proud to sponsor the WiA workshop and hope the ladies enjoyed a long, hot seaweed bath when they got home 🍹

On Saturday 5 July, 26 inspiring ladies (and a few kids!) gathered beneath the trees at Woodlands Station for the
WiA: Building Strong Foundations workshop, designed to create space for reflection, reconnection, and practical tools for personal and professional growth.



Facilitated by Kaitlin Tilly from RCS - Resource Consulting Services, the session covered themes like identity, goal setting, and legacy, culminating in a
powerful exercise imagining your 100th birthday speech from someone else’s perspective.



It was a day full of meaningful conversations, fresh ideas, and warm connections.
Attendees travelled from across the region as far as Ilbilbie, Septimus and Bowen - to be part of this wonderful workshop.

Is Seaperia Meal formulated by vets like all the other "doggie dental supplements".
No it isn't 😳

It's no secret how good chicken soup is for us.
Studies show that chicken soup, especially one made on a whole chicken with all the bones, is packed with nutrition and easy to digest.
It also anti-inflammatory and can give our immune system a winter boost.
But... how good it is depends on your chicken.
This is a Macro free range chicken from Woolies.
So do I trust Woolworths to provide me with truly high quality food?
Heck no!

A cool, wet day here on the Atherton Tablelands, so since the wood stove is going I thought I'd do some baking.
Savoury muffins, all organic and gluten free with pumpkin seeds, herbs, carrot, zucchini and a good dash of Seagreens Food Granules.
That's my healthy morning tea sorted for the week!
