Rob and I won some prizes in the raffle. I stewarded and lost concentration while they did group 7 in the ring next door 🤣🤣 no one noticed 🙏and we enjoyed the picture perfect weather😎

We shared the weekend with our crew and celebrated little Stormy getting her title with cake, cuddled up with a beautiful baby basenji, and hung out with Nicole and Sophie. Did not get a lot of photos… mostly of Robyn and Tyko
When we did lol

Bowen brought out the perfect weather for the weekend… glorious. Thank you to all the hard working committee members who made the shows so welcoming.
Sassy came home with 3 Best of Breed and we got to see our Vallhund family again💕
Tyko came home with 3 Best of Breed and got cuddles from his fan club 💕
They showed well and did us proud and that’s all we ask 👍 and yes they had the tradition chicken nuggets on the drive home.

Ross had a clash with Bella in group 2 and Stormy in group 7 so I graciously fought off the sister and got to run in Stormy, muscle memory kicked in and I remembered how much I love showing a no nose xx my boys are in trouble when I get home, they are getting mumma cuddles. I’m sure I can show the pirates 🏴‍☠️ lol (don’t worry I am truly just joking about the pirates)

Sassy and I were winners in the dress up competition in our Valkyrie inspired outfits and got to hang with our Mario brother mate with his red butterfly companion🤣 a bit of a laugh and fun with some like minded people 😎

The best part of our weekend was seeing people we care about get well deserved recognition for their pups and to hangout together xx Huge congratulations Terri and Erin and Ross, just fabulous 🥳😎👏👏👏

Rob and I are just over half way home and it’s great not travelling in the rain. See you all next weekend where we will give it another crack 🥰

Happy 10th Birthday to our pack leader, our least needy dog and the love of Morgans life… Grand Champion Eshad Bobby… more affectionately known as Baccus, Baccy boy, Bacster, big boy, cranky old man lol he is not very patient with Yogi, brother bonded to Ace (they can argue but no one else can argue with them) and patient and gentle with Astrid. He spends most of his time resting and is a bit slower these days… except for dinner, then he is the fastest 10 year old bulldog in our backyard 🤣🤣 love him to bits as always xx

Ok folks here it is… the annual Far North Queensland circuit for June and July… absolutely the very best time of the year to visit Far North Queensland… so we welcome all our ‘showmads’ to start planning for a road trip to FNQ.
Schedules for our ATKC shows will be out in June ready for your entries but in the meantime we will be making regular updates on our page about judges, themes, raffles, food and all the fun of our shows ⭐️🐾😎
Please note: At the time of publish this was the information we had so if there are any changes I have no doubt someone will mention it in the comments. 😊🙏

Well another amazing weekend of dog shows with the wonderful FNQ dog fraternity. We are so lucky to be able to do the hobby we love thanks to the dedication of the small but mighty committees from Cairns City Kennel Club and Northern Tropics Kennel Club.
Tonight Ross, Robyn and I have taken the time to celebrate together and laugh at silly things. Ross ‘chose’ to have Chinese dinner, which, surprisingly is my favourite… who would have thought 🤣🤣🤣 see pics below.

Assy had a slow start to the weekend but finished strong on Sunday. 💕 Good girl.

Tyko has a strong start to the weekend

5 Best of Breed

💕Good boy.
(Until a certain Schipperke boy who I happen to handle… arrived… yes we are competitive sometimes 🤣🤣🤣)

Our little NoNose mate Stormy absolutely smashed it and we could not be happier for Ross and Erin (Ross was MIA for the last Minor in Show line up so of course I ‘volunteered’ to take her in once Alicia found her for us 🤣🤣🤣 I even got down on the ground 😬 not to forget their little neuter staffy Bella who also made them very proud thanks to Alicia who handles her like a pro.

I got to handle a beautiful Border Collie and she went from strength to strength each run. Big change from the rolling on the ground Saturday morning to the photo that follows. Very grateful to the lovely Jess who gave me Border Collie boot camp the condensed version which literally made all the difference. Lifelong learner ! I also ran her neuter sister in and fell very blessed to have the wonderful opportunity to help friends 🥰

We also helped our lovely friend Kerrie K with our favourite Schipperkes and Rob helped run a Doberman, her cardigan corgi buddies and helped finish the title for the young Peruvian she has been handling.

We are tired now 😊 but happy xx congratulations to all who has wonderful wins

Oh my word… what a fabulous weekend we have had in the Burdekin. Thanks to the club committee for putting on 4 wonderful shows for the FNQ dog community. We enjoyed catching up with all our friends and enjoying our time together. The shows ran smoothly and it was a great venue yet again. While I am sad not to have the no nose contingency with me, my fluffy little Vallhund has done us very very proud this weekend. Our Xolo cousin was also ‘a good good boy’.
RESULTS OUT OF 4 SHOWS

ASTRID (Swedish Vallhund)
3 Best of Breed
1 RU of Breed
4 Statebred in Group
🐾1 RU in Group🐾
😎2 Best in Group😎 one of the Best in Group wins saw her Brother, Vin, awarded RU in group so Vallhund and Vallhund 1 and 2… bucket list moment. But these two litter mates have shared so many special moments in the ring it feels right that they shared this one as well 💕 Heather they are still doing you proud as a breeder, thank you for these darlings xx
And… wait for it…

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 State Bred in Show⭐️⭐️⭐️
She has had cuddles and chicken nuggets already 😊

TYKO (standard Xolo)
4 Best of Breed
4 Aust Bred in Group
🐾2 RU in Group🐾
😎1 Best in Group😎
He has also had cuddles and chicken nuggets already😊

Thank you to the judges who awarded Astrid and Tyko and for the wonderful feedback we received, especially about the Sassy one. Now if I can just get her to stand still in the in show line up for longer that 2 seconds that would be good. Always something to strive for 😊👍
Thank you to all who encouraged and congratulated us. It’s such a blessing 🥰

On top of all this Rob got to handle her fav Staffordshire Bull Terrier for our mate Bron and her darling Cardigan corgis for Judy, and a Lhasa for Deanne in a run off. Always good to try a new breed.
I got to run in Ross’s little sack of adorable potatoes Stormy in the Puppy Sweeps on Saturday… it was good to have a no nose in my arms again but I did give her back… eventually 😜 I also ran brother Vin for Sandy when his regular handler Lou was busy in group 2. AND… I have been drawn into helping Terri with the most adorable Maltese when there was a clash between 7 and 1. Ooh he is cute when he is not being attacked by bugs… 🐛 did give him back requiring a whole new top knot 😬 but the bug crawled in it Terri I swear… I was saving him 🤣🤣🤣

We will see everyone again in a couple of weeks in Cairns… 🐾🐾🐶🐶
Going home to cuddle my 3 wrinkly pirates 🐶🐶🐶💕

So show season 2026 has begun and I am going in without my beloved bulldog. For those that are unaware… my darling boy Yogi has sustained an injury (but is fine) but it means he has been retired from the show arena. I can confirm he is living a life of luxury on the couch and in our backyard being loved and adored. He much prefers this to be honest.
So the naked one and the fluffy one are carrying the team in 2026. And it was a pretty good start… we got to hang out with our dog show crew, helped out where we could and cheered for Ross and Erins cute potato, reunited with Bron, a member of the OG gang, cuddled our favourite schipperkes and laughed and ate some seafood from our fav cafe.

BIG 1st - 11
BIG 2nd - 35 (the quality of dogs in group 7 is outstanding)
