We would like to say a massive thank you to Shane Knuth, who kindly donated us the money to purchase a new obedience jump for our trials.

Donations like these help to keep our club thriving!

A bit of a disappointing post today, as we got to the club grounds to find the grass all churned up.

I’m not sure if the community is aware so I’ll make a few points. Firstly, we are 100% volunteer run, and we’re also struggling with the workload on our current volunteers and stuff like this just creates unnecessary extra work. Secondly, we run four competitions a year which bring people to the tablelands from all over Australia (we’ve had people from as far as Tasmania). To run our competitions we need the ground to be safe and flat with no divots in the ground, otherwise we risk injury to both dogs and handlers.

We are aware the community centre is open to the public, however things like this are incredibly disappointing for our little club.

If you are in Atherton and in or around the community centre, please help us keep an eye out, and if you see anything that doesn’t look normal feel free to message us and let us know.

We love helping our community with their dogs, but now we’re asking for some help too.

What a fantastic weekend! I can’t remember the last time we had such a beautiful dry May trial.

I want to say a massive thank you to our judges, scribes, stewards and everyone who helped over the weekend with bar changes and course changes. We’re a small club and we’re always incredibly grateful to see everyone out helping.

Our clubs trialling team had a very successful weekend with titles, first qualis and clear runs, including our very own deaf dog Toohey getting her first ever quali!

For now we rest, and then we’re onto the next trial in July 🐶

Thank you to Rocs Stockfeed for donating the prizes

This weekend we are hosting our first dog sport trial for the year!

We’re kicking it off tonight with rally and obedience, and then tomorrow and Sunday mornings we’ll have agility, jumping, games and tricks.

The best way to learn about dog sports is to come and lend and hand and see what the trials are like first hand!

Spectators are welcome but please leave your dogs at home 🐶
