A Special Thank You to the School Pupils Who Spent Time With Our Dogs

A very special thank you to the school pupils who visited the Tshwane SPCA Waltloo Branch yesterday while completing some of their required community service hours.

They spent their time walking our dogs, giving them attention, cuddles, pats and lots of affection.

Our dogs thoroughly enjoyed the extra company and the opportunity to get out for a walk and spend time with caring people.

Thank you for choosing to spend part of your day with our animals and for giving them a little extra love and attention. It was truly appreciated.

A Precious Pekingese Girl Has Found Her Perfect Home

A heartfelt thank you to Madlyn Dameme for adopting our beautiful 2-year-old female purebred Pekingese.

This special little girl has now been given the gift of a loving home, where she can feel safe, cherished and cared for every day. We are so happy that she has found someone who saw how precious she is and chose to give her the life she deserves.

Thank you, Madlyn, for opening your heart to her and for choosing adoption.

May she bring you endless love, gentle companionship, happy moments and many beautiful memories together.

DOG SAVED FROM MANHOLE IN EERSTERUST

This morning, the Tshwane SPCA received an urgent call about a dog that had become trapped inside a manhole drainage system in Eersterust.

Our Inspectorate responded immediately and rushed to the scene. With the assistance of the City of Tshwane Water and Sanitation team, a difficult rescue operation began.

Working carefully together, the team managed to reach the frightened dog and safely lift the dog from the manhole. It was a true team effort and a wonderful example of what can be achieved when people work together to save an animal in distress.

Thankfully, the dog was rescued without any injuries. The dog was understandably shaken and suffering from shock after the frightening ordeal, but is now safe and has been taken to the Tshwane SPCA, where the dog can rest and receive the care needed.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the City of Tshwane Water and Sanitation team for their assistance and dedication during this rescue. Your support helped give this dog a safe ending to what could have been a very different story.

Every day, the Tshwane SPCA Inspectorate responds to animals in distress, cruelty complaints, emergencies and rescue calls across our communities. Keeping our inspectors on the road and able to respond when animals need them most comes at a significant cost.

A Big Thank You to CSI Rentals and Dog Food Diva
