Yesterday, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting our No More Tears Paint & Sip—and what an incredible success it was! 🐾

From the beautiful rock painting to the laughter, delicious lunch, wonderful company and plenty of happy moments, it was a truly special day. 🥰

A very special thank you to Heleen Morgenrood for opening your stunning home to us and allowing us to host this event there. Your kindness, generosity and hospitality helped make the day even more beautiful and memorable. We appreciate you more than words can say! ❤️🏡

A HUGE thank you to everyone who attended and supported our event. Your support means so much to us and, most importantly, helps us continue caring for the beautiful rescues who rely on No More Tears. 🐶🐱

Yesterday wasn’t only about painting and having fun—it was about coming together for a cause we all care deeply about. Each person who attended helped make it a day we will always remember. 🐾✨

🐾💔 THEY ARE STILL WAITING… AND STILL NOBODY HAS CHOSEN THEM 💔🐾

Another week has passed.

Another weekend has come and gone.

And our beautiful sisters, IVY & LILLY, are still sitting in the kennels waiting for someone to choose them. 😢

These two girls were adopted when they were tiny puppies.

They thought they had found their forever home.

But a few months later, they were returned…

For being puppies.
For having energy.
For wanting to play.
For needing attention.

And now they are growing up in a kennel instead of a home. 💔

Every day that passes is another day they should have been running around someone's garden, sleeping on a warm bed, stealing socks, getting into mischief and learning what it means to truly belong.

Instead, they wait.

And wait.

And wait. 🥺

What an amazing day! ❤️

We were absolutely blown away by the kindness and generosity we experienced — and especially by the genuine love this company has for rescue animals. 🐶🐾

🐾 ONE VERY DETERMINED MAMA & HER BABIES ARE SAFE 🐾

On Wednesday evening, we received a message in one of the community groups about a stray mama cat who had given birth to kittens in someone’s yard, tucked away underneath some bushes.

We managed to get hold of the wonderful people who reached out about Mama and her babies, and our team headed out to fetch them.

Thankfully, Mama and all her kittens are now safe in foster care. 🥰🐾

Mama is definitely making sure everyone knows that she is not one to be messed with when it comes to her babies! 😂 She is very feisty and protective, and she is not used to being indoors, but she is slowly settling in and learning that she and her little family are safe. 🩷

And of course, a massive thank you to our incredible team who went out to rescue them Riana Cronje Clarisse Kruger. A special mention to poor Nadine Byliefeldt who had to climb right into those bushes to get the babies, fancy dress and all! 😂🌿🐱

Because apparently, animal rescue comes with no dress code… and sometimes requires crawling through bushes in whatever you happen to be wearing! 🤣

This little family is now safe, warm and being cared for. One more mama and her babies off the streets and into safety. 🐾🩷

🐾 REST EASY, SWEET SIMPSON 😔💔

This is one of the hardest updates we have ever had to write.

We have been dragging our feet with this post because, honestly, words just don’t seem enough. 💔

Sadly, we had to let our precious Simpson go. He crossed the rainbow bridge peacefully, surrounded by love. 🌈🐾

Our incredible vet Randfontein Dierehospitaal - Veearts Dr Naude team did everything in their power to save him and give him a chance. But Simpson’s injuries were simply too severe.

He had suffered a devastating spinal injury and was paralysed in his back legs. Sadly, there was no realistic chance of rehabilitation or recovery, and we were faced with the most heartbreaking decision a rescue can ever make, to let him go peacefully and free from pain. 💔

Simpson had only been with us for such a short time, but in that short time, he completely stole our hearts.

We remember the frightened little boy who was terrified of every hand that came near him… and then slowly began to realise that our hands were there to help him, comfort him and love him. 💙

We wish we had more time with you, little boy.

We are so incredibly sorry we couldn't save you. We are sorry your life was cut so terribly short. You deserved so much more, a warm home, a soft bed, endless love and a lifetime of happiness.

But please know this, Simpson: you were loved.
You were seen.
You mattered.
And you were never alone. 🐾

Thank you to everyone who prayed for Simpson, donated towards his veterinary care, brought him blankets and comfort, and followed his journey. Your kindness meant more than you know.

Run free now, beautiful boy. 🌈
No more pain. No more fear. No more suffering.

Just sunshine, soft grass and endless freedom. 💙🐾
