📢 PUBLIC NOTICE REGARDING ADOPTIONS AT PAWS HAVEN

It has come to our attention that there may be some misunderstanding regarding what is included in our adoption fee. We would like to clarify this to ensure that all adopters have the correct information before welcoming a new family member into their home.

The adoption fee includes:

✅ Sterilisation (where age appropriate)
✅ Core vaccinations
✅ Deworming
✅ Microchipping
✅ A basic veterinary health check

Please note that the adoption fee does not include a full medical examination or diagnostic testing.

Many of the animals that arrive at Paws Haven come from unknown backgrounds. In most cases, we do not know their complete medical history, previous living conditions, or whether they may have underlying health conditions that are not immediately visible during a basic health check.

A full medical examination may include procedures such as:

• Blood tests
• Blood smears
• Laboratory diagnostics
• X-rays or other specialised investigations

Paws Haven does not have the equipment or resources to perform these advanced tests in-house. Should an adopter request a comprehensive medical evaluation prior to adoption, we can arrange for a private veterinarian to perform the necessary examinations. However, these services will be subject to additional veterinary fees, payable by the adopter.

If we are aware of any pre-existing medical condition before adoption, we will always disclose this information to the prospective adopter. Transparency is very important to us.

However, if a medical condition develops or is discovered after adoption that was unknown at the time of adoption, the treatment and associated costs will be the responsibility of the adopter.

We remain committed to finding loving homes for animals in need while being as honest and transparent as possible about their health and history. Thank you for your understanding, support, and for giving rescued animals a second chance at life.

Behind every rescue, every adoption, every late-night emergency, every kennel cleaned, every animal fed, and every life saved, there is a small but dedicated team working tirelessly at Paws Haven.

This is our front-line team. The people who show up every day, regardless of the weather, the challenges, or the long hours. They are the hands that heal, the hearts that care, and the voices that speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Many people see the happy adoption photos and successful rescue stories, but behind every one of those moments is a team giving their all to make it happen.

We may be a small team, but together we care for hundreds of animals every year. We respond to emergencies, investigate cruelty cases, assist lost and injured animals, educate our community, and provide a safe haven for those who have nowhere else to go.

To our staff: thank you for your dedication, compassion, and commitment. Paws Haven would not be possible without each and every one of you.

There is something truly special about the bond between people and animals. Today, Timothy the doggie, brought smiles and wagging tails to the residents of MHA - Samuel Broadbent House, Potchefstroom . 🐾❤️
Timothy happily soaked up all the attention, enjoyed plenty of cuddles, and brightened everyone's day with his gentle nature.
A simple visit, a few pats, and a lot of love reminded us that kindness, companionship, and connection can make a world of difference.
Thank you to everyone who welcomed Timothy so warmly. We can't wait to visit again! 🐶✨

🐾 DONATIONS NEEDED – WIRE FOR OUR DOG & CAT KENNELS 🐾

Paws Haven is urgently looking for donations of wire mesh, fencing wire, weld mesh, or any suitable kennel wire that may be lying unused on your property, farm, business, or in storage.
Many of our dog and cat enclosures need repairs and maintenance to ensure that our animals remain safe, secure, and comfortable while they wait for their forever homes.

💙 How You Can Help:
✔ Donate new or used wire mesh
✔ Donate fencing materials suitable for kennels and catteries
✔ Share this post with friends, family, businesses, and farmers
✔ Help us give our animals a safer environment

No donation is too small. Even a few spare sheets or rolls of wire can make a huge difference.
