😻 SUCCESSFUL ADOPTION 😻

An adoption that really warms my heart! ❤️ 😻 ❤️

Because kittens are snapped up, but seldom juveniles.

Remember the awful situation of all the cats and kittens on the plot recently? Well this poor little 6 months old girly was 1 of them.
She was 1 of a litter of 3. Her sister & brother were taken in by 2 separate people living on this plot, but she was not considered desirable and so was left outside all alone with no one to care for her 😿
There was another previous litter of now 2 surviving adult males - also living outside and then another most recent litter of 4 young kittens.
Even more sad is that their mama cat had been mauled to death by the dogs on the plot and the 4 young kittens left outside to fend for themselves 😿😡
Neither were any of them medically treated or sterilized 🙀

When I was called to assist, I found this poor girly as well as the 4 kittens were starving, flea infested, absolutely covered in f***s from the terrible diarrhea they all had etc etc.

Then this girly was adopted, but on the day of collection, the adopter pulled out!

Then she become deathly ill 😿

But 3 weeks later with intensive care (including an entire day at the vet on a drip and further daily medicating, cleaning her, force feeding etc), lots of love & re-assurance, that is all in the past now 😺

She is now 100% well and medically treated and a happy girly who knows she is loved and wanted and safe 😺

The best part is that her extremely bad past has a happy ending 😺

She had to wait a while, but the wait was well worth it as she has found her fur-ever loving home 🏡 with the most amazing lady and her awesome family who are avid animal lovers 🥰

A huge Thank you 🙏 to your very gently, loving, caring & patient new mommy Esmi Bronkhorst & family who fell in love immediately and just knew she had to make you part of their lives😻

Esmi couldn’t wait and came over that very same day. She sat with this little girly, lovingly stroking her, spoke gently to her with tears in her eyes seeing this girly’s gentleness and trust in the human race dispute her tragic past, and aptly named her Hope 😻

The remarkable journey of little Hope - from despair to a wonderfully bright future is awesome to witness and one of the reasons I continue to rescue 😻

I know you are so adored by your smitten new mom, will be very well taken care of and will never know hardship again 😁 And, who by the way, thinks you are Beautiful 😻

Miss you already my special girl 🤗

Handing off free kittens may solve your immediate problem, but too often, it simply passes the problem on to someone else. 😞

One of the most common calls we receive for spay/neuter assistance starts with:
“We rescued this kitten from someone to help them out, but we really can’t afford to get her fixed.”

And sadly, those are just the people who actually reach out for help. Most never do. 😢

If we truly care about cats and kittens and their long-term well-being, we have to think beyond just finding them “a home.” We need to make sure they are going into responsible homes where spay/neuter will absolutely happen. That means taking the time to screen adopters, having an adoption process, and getting mom cat spayed ASAP. ✅

You can safely rehome kittens yourself, but please consider reaching out to a shelter or rescue for guidance on how to do it responsibly and safely.

This crisis is bigger than any one person, rescue, or shelter. We all have to work together to break the cycle and make sure these cats are not continuing to reproduce generation after generation.

👉🏼 Spay/neuter is not just the new owner’s responsibility.
👉🏼 It’s not just the old owner’s responsibility.
👉🏼 It’s not just a rescue’s responsibility.

‼️ It is EVERYONE’S responsibility to make sure it happens. ‼️

48 hour journey of my gorgeous little foster male kitten who came in on Monday evening.
Found all alone at a bottle store 7 hours drive away.
He was scared stiff, filthy dirty, nervous and starving 😿
Thank you Suné 😻 for rescuing him, for reaching out to me for help and for bringing him all that way to me to take care of.
When he first got here he was hissing at both me & the other kittens out of fear. But within a few hours, he was purring away and playing & sleeping with the other kittens 😺 because he felt safe and no longer had to fear.
Such a sweet little boytjie 😻
This little boy has been adopted 😻

3 new Beautiful marble pattern ginger kittens 😻😻😻
The 2 female sisters came in on Saturday.
The male came in last night. Found all alone at a bottle store very far away. He was scared stiff, filthy dirty, nervous and starving 😿
Most of my rescue kittens come from dire situations 😿
But being taken into foster care with the proper 24/7 care, medical treatment, nutritional food & lots of love, affection & safety, adopters (as all previous adopters will testify to), receive a 100% healthy, happy, loving, friendly, socialized and well-adjusted kitten.
The kittens only go to their fur-ever loving homes 🏡 when 8/9 weeks old. They have by then been dewormed, vaccinated and are obviously eating on their own & potty trained. They are also all sterilized when 6 months of age.
Pics are of these 3 new beauties.
Little male from last night still needs a bath today and then will post new pics of him.

😻 2 X SUCCESSFUL ADOPTION😻

My 2 gentle, gorgeous and highly bonded Ginger & White foster boytjies have gone to their new fur-ever loving home 🏡

These boys were initially adopted when kittens, but due to tragic family circumstances I was asked to take them back when they were almost 5 months old - which I of course did.

They came back sick 😿 and it took 3 weeks and a few thousands 💰 to get them healthy and happy again 😺 and then to find a new loving home for them together as I refused to split them!

It is said that ‘fortune favour the brave’ and these 2 sweethearts found fortune being adopted together by an awesome family 😻

Thank you to Malik in particular - a gentle soul and his family for giving these boys what I know is going to be an amazing life - filled with love, warmth, safety and care that they so deserve 🤗

Have the best lives every precious boytjies and may you all bring one another eternal joy 🥰

😻 2 X SUCCESSFUL ADOPTION 😻

The last of my foster boytjie (black male) who came from the terrible situation on a plot, together with my gorgeous little Russian Blue foster boy (found running around alone on another plot), have gone to their fur-ever loving home together 😻😻

2 together are always better than 1 alone and their very loving & caring new mom & dad - Inge & Christiaan already knew that 😁

Thank you 🙏 for adopting 2 kittens - who had already been integrated so they knew each other well. Makes for such a well-adjusted, happy kitty 😺
They eat, sleep & play together. They keep each other company and therefore never get lonely or bored 😺

I know you will take such good care of these gentle kitties and will give them an awesome life that they so deserve. Already evident in a pic sent to me minutes after they arrived in their new home, where you can see how relaxed and loved they are 😻

2 more of my little foster boytjies that came from the terrible situation on a plot, have gone to their fur-ever loving home 🏡 together 😺😺

But all that hardship & lack of care, is all in the past now.

3 weeks later after being in my care, they are now healthy and happy and the sweetest little fur-babies 😻 who love to play up a storm, chase each other around and come for lots of cuddles - gently cradling your face in their tiny paws 🐾 , touching noses 👃 and purring away 😻
Not to mention running & meowing when their raw lean mince & warm milk is on the way 😹

Thank you 🙏 to your new loving & caring mommies Lizette & Rouxlize, for adopting you together and who are going to take such good care of you op die plaas 😁
