🐾WILDLIFE SPOTLIGHT: African Wild Cat! 🐈

Say hello to this shy South African feline that could pass for your tabby at a glance! These stealthy survivors roam wild across grasslands and deserts, hunting with ninja-like precision under the night sky. With their spotted coats and keen senses, they adapt to tough terrains while keeping prey in check, true wilderness champs! Sadly, their pure bloodline is at risk due to domestic cats, which threaten their wild heritage through interbreeding.

Fun fact: They can leap up to 3 meters to pounce on unsuspecting prey!

🚨 FOUND – PLEASE HELP US FIND HER HOME 🚨

This sweet, skinny old tabby girl was found today at Hoedspruit Towing. She’s clearly been struggling for some time – she’s underweight and starving, but still so gentle and trusting. 💔

We’re desperately hoping she’s not lost for good – maybe she has a family out there who’s missing her?

✨ From Rescue to Royalty ✨
These two handsome boys have officially traded the streets for the sweet life—and we couldn’t be happier! 🐾💕

Once just tiny bundles of fur with big eyes and even bigger hearts, they’ve now found their perfect homes where they're spoiled, snuggled, and living in absolute luxury. From cozy naps on soft beds to endless affection and playtime, their lives have truly transformed.

Thank you Sue and Louise for taking in these two monsters seperately and just giving them what they deserve!

Here's to happy tails, full bellies, and a future filled with love. 🐱❤️

🐾 Hazyview Trapping Weekend Update 🐾

This past weekend, our dedicated team gathered in Hazyview for an intensive trapping mission — and what a weekend it was!

A huge thank you goes out to:

🙏 Waidon & Ryan from Kruger Park Lodge – for hosting our team and allowing us to trap on the property to help control cat numbers and prevent further challenges.

🙏 Jamie from Maroela Animal Hospital – for spearheading the mission with her incredible “go-to” team of girls always ready to get down and dirty. A special shoutout to Cecilia (CC’s Vet), Tayla & Hailey (student vets), and of course our director Caitlin, who pushed through early mornings, late nights, and some very feisty kitties to reach our numbers.

🙏 Josie in Hazyview – for joining the team, showing us the local hot spots, and for your ongoing dedication to trapping in the area. Josie will continue to trap, and we’ll continue to assist with sterilisation funding.

🙏 Hillary, manager of both Hazyview malls – for arranging access and allowing us to trap around the malls after hours. This made a phenomenal difference!

The Results:
🐱 19 cats trapped in total.
✂ 10 cats unsterilised
✔ 8 cats already sterilised (fantastic news!)
💔 1 cat humanely euthanised

Although we didn’t quite reach the numbers we were hoping for, we were thrilled to see so many cats already sterilised — a clear sign that the work being done is making a difference.

There are still a few pregnant mommies we’ll be returning for (or Josie will continue working on), and we’ll keep everyone updated on further sterilisation efforts in Hazyview.

These Hazyview cats certainly proved to be trap-savvy with very particular tastes — but nothing can stop this determined team!
