Why take three days to do something when it can be done in one?

Team GreenHill Laboratories Three Generations - Interior Design Hopewell Supplies, Harry Gray and Robyn Groenink, just completed the Non-Stop Dusi Canoe Marathon!! An absolutely incredible achievement! Over 90 km in 11 hours, paddling and running! Their steadfastness and determination, coupled with wisdom and style on the river is enviable! And very fitting that the day after was International Women's Day - Robyn was the only lady to attempt this year's edition!!

Expert skill, dedication, determination and teamwork both in the boat and behind the scenes - those are the attributes that give you world class results, whether on the river or in the laboratory!

What an incredible three days at the 2025 Dusi Canoe Marathon!!

Stellar examples of teamwork and partnership from GreenHill Laboratories' own Robyn Groenink, of Three Generations - Interior Design and Hopewell Supplies' Harry Gray, an exemplification of what we do at GreenHill Laboratories as partners to all our clients! Harry and Robyn finished SECOND in the mixed doubles, and SEVENTH K2 overall.

Harry is a seasoned Dusi paddler, now completing his 11th event! This was Robyn's first attempt at this iconic marathon event, after only taking to a canoe less than one year ago.

Expertly navigating the high and rough waters of this year's event with grit, determination and good humour fully leveraging experience, strength and balance to gracefully cut through the toughest of rapids, as well as digging deep to pull hard on the flat water, not unlike what the team at GreenHill Laboratories does everyday!

And a special thanks to Paisley Gray's Carla Pasqualotto Gray and Meraki Agri Solutions Christopher De Villiers for all the support with seconding! Teamwork makes the dream work!

What a great summit!

Thanks SANCAP for organising. It has been two days of much learning and sharing of knowledge. It is always so important to us to learn about the industries we serve, beyond just their testing requirements. Understanding their challenges and successes is always so enlightening and enables us to better come alongside as partners.

It was a special privilege to be invited onto the Lab Panel Discussion and relay our own challenges and requirements for testing, as well as some of the specifics around the regulatory space that laboratories are required to operate in and why.

We've been quite busy lately!

Last month, Dr. Mariska Laubscher attended and presented at the 15th Aquaculture Association of Southern Africa (AASA) Conference in Stellenbosch. Our Cape Town laboratory is strategically located to support the entire aquaculture industry. We are currently validating tests for significant diseases in the abalone and oyster sectors. At the conference, Mariska shared updates on our validation progress and discussed challenges in supporting an export-focused industry in South Africa.

Special thanks to our GreenHill Laboratories ambassadorial team for keeping the golfers refreshed at the very picturesque 7th tee, and to our own GreenHill Mambas for en excellent day of golf (Matt Wills, of Synergy Udder Health; Wesley Jhuri, of AVI Products; Glen Blackler, of Lionel's Veterinary Supplies; and Captain Peter Nicholas, of AR Brands)!
