🚨 URGENT MONTHLY FOOD APPEAL 🚨

Our food bins are running dangerously low, and we need to secure enough meals to keep our rescues fed and healthy for the entire month ahead! With so many hungry bellies relying on us, restocking our food is our top priority right now.

To cover all our rescue dogs and pups for the month, we urgently need to stock up on:

40kg Puppy Dry Food – To fuel our growing babies.
60 Cans Wet Puppy Food – For essential, nourishing breakfasts.
120kg Adult Dry Food – To keep our big dogs strong and full.
Pet Mince, Chicken & Liver For supper

Look at the difference a little love and a great grooming session makes!

Striker is a dog from the local township who got fully pampered today, and he looks like a whole new boy! He went from being severely matted and uncomfortable to feeling fresh, clean, and ready for spring.
While Striker looks and feels like a total king today, the reality on the ground is tough. We just fed him our very last bit of dry food today, which means he has no food left starting tomorrow.
Striker and so many of his buddies in the area rely on us every single day to stay fed. Please consider donating a bag of dog food to Striker and his friends to keep their tum-tums full.

ETETE PUP
3 days. Countless messages. A whole lot of pleading. And ONE incredible village later… HE IS SAFE! 🐾✨
It took three full days of stress, endless calls, and dodging crazy transport quotes and the know it all board warriors 😂 but we never gave up on this little guy. Today, the puzzle pieces finally came together!
A massive, heartfelt thank you to Judy, who navigated the first leg of his journey from Etete to Ballito, and to Madeline, who brought him down to Toti and kept him safe until we could pick him up. Rescue truly takes a village, and we are so endlessly grateful for ours. The second puppy was transferred to us from Ballito vet because tomorrow he would have been sent to a kill shelter ❤️

He has his appointment tomorrow to get thoroughly checked over, treated, and started on his road to recovery.

ARE YOU DRIVING FROM ETETE TO SHERWOOD???

This poor puppy in Etete is in need of immediate medical attention for lesions and skin trauma. We are urgently seeking help to get him taken care of right away.

1Local Rescue
If you are a local rescue near Etete/Ballito/Durban that can take him in, provide vet care, and assist with rehoming closer to his area, we would be incredibly grateful.
2 Transport Volunteer
If you can offer a lift tomorrow morning to transport him from Etete to Vet Care Animal Clinic in Sherwood (or to us in Umkomaas), please step forward.

We cannot make the 3-hour round trip due to work commitments, but we cannot leave him to suffer. If you can transport or take over his rescue, please comment below or message us immediately!

Liezel took mama and babies to the vet this morning! Mama started bleeding through the night, Dr put her on medication that is safe while feeding the babies and we will monitor her closely.

She popped by to visit us at work on her way from the vet.

‼️‼️‼️EMERGENCY APPEAL MAMA DOG & 10 NEWBORN PUPPIES NEED HELP‼️‼️‼️

A stray mama recently found refuge at a young couple’s house, but nobody knew she was expecting 10 puppies.
They reached out to us last night for help. While we are completely at capacity, we simply couldn't turn our backs on them.

Here is what is happening,
Mama is unwell and currently showing a green discharge, which is a serious red flag. She urgently needs to go to the vet for an X-ray to see if there is a retained puppy or severe infection.
Because mama is so sick, all 10 puppies need to be bottle-fed until she recovers if she is even able to nurse again.
How you can help right now:
Vet Deposit: We desperately need to raise R3,000 for her down payment and diagnostic X-rays tomorrow.
Puppy Milk Formula: We urgently need puppy replacement milk to keep 10 newborns alive.

When Baxter first came to us, he was in so much pain, exhausted, and fighting a severe skin infection that left his poor body raw and hairless.
Look at him today! With time, proper medical care, and a lot of love, he has completely transformed. His soft golden coat is fully back, his eyes are bright, and that big, beautiful smile says it all.
This is why we do not succumb to the pressure of taking in more and more dogs, because we make sure each rescue gets individual care and love. Each soul is different, and every single one of them deserves so much more than just being another dog at a shelter.
