With the support of and , this year’s Cake Sale for Cats will be even bigger and better, and we’re hoping that the extremely generous contributions we received from Durban’s bakers last year will be matched – or even exceeded – in 2026! 🧁 🍰 🎂

Pop in for breakfast between 9 and 12 on Tuesdays or Thursdays–Sundays, meet the exceptionally chilled Paxton the cat, and bring along your own kitty or small dog – the venue is pet friendly!

Meet the cats: Aqua 💧

Named by her sponsor for her beautiful blue eyes, Aqua has an undeniably distinctive look. But she’s more than a pretty face: in a group of cat friends who get fiercely competitive over food and have been known to throw a swat or hiss at humans, she’s the peacekeeper who prefers to weave around legs and let her feeders know that they’re loved. With that being said, she will swipe a bite of the other cats’ food if they’re not quick to their bowls!

Thanks to ’s residents and guests for giving us such a warm welcome on Saturday. We loved talking to you about cat care, and it never gets old learning about the many things, big and small, that people are doing to help cats in their communities.

We also loved seeing a cat stealing a slice of pizza, proving that is irresistible across species. We regret not getting the moment on camera, but separating cat and pizza took priority.

We hope to do lots more educational like this – get in touch if you’d like to be there or be a part of it.

It’s been far too long since we hosted an edition of one of our favourite, most colourful fundraisers – but next week, Cupcakes for Cats is back!

Whether you’re bringing your kids or just taking time out to get creative, your ticket includes your drink and cupcake kit from to decorate and devour. As we’ll be at , you’ll also be able to do some colouring-in or buy one of the many craft activities on offer if you want to stay for some more self-expression. 🧁 🧶 🎨
