Luke – Our Leukaemia Warrior 🐾
Despite Luke facing many health challenges, we stood by him through recovery. At Osman Animal Rescue, we don’t give up on life easily, and we never want an animal to suffer. With Luke, there was hope — he was active, had a great appetite, and still showed a strong will to live.
He never showed signs of weakness or giving up, and who was I to play God and take his life away?
We decided to try first. And now, just two months later, we can show you the difference.
Just as we give humans a chance, so too must we give animals a chance.
We were prepared to consider euthanasia only if Luke worsened or began to suffer. Instead, in this short period of time, he showed us that he wants more time — and he’s fighting for it every day.
Thank you to everyone who believes in second chances and stands with us for animals like Luke. 💙

We urgently appeal to all residents across the City of Tshwane and surrounding Gauteng areas to act responsibly and lawfully regarding the use of fireworks.
🎆 Fireworks cause extreme fear, panic, injury, and even death to animals.
Dogs, cats, birds, horses, livestock, and wildlife suffer severe trauma from loud explosions. Every year animals go missing, sustain serious injuries, or die from shock due to fireworks.
📜 THE LAW – SOUTH AFRICA
In terms of the Animals Protection Act 71 of 1962, it is an offence to terrify, abuse, or cruelly treat animals. Fireworks that cause fear and distress may constitute animal cruelty.
The Explosives Act regulates the sale and use of fireworks nationally.
Municipal by-laws in Tshwane strictly control when, where, and whether fireworks may be discharged.
Fireworks may not be used without permission and are prohibited in many residential, rural, and animal-dense areas.

These little ones cannot eat hard food and depend on soft meals to survive.

Christmas Adoption Appeal – Osman Animal Rescue
It’s been another year, and so many of our rescues at Osman Animal Rescue still haven’t found their forever homes. Every day, we do everything we can to love them, feed them, and provide the medical care they need. But more than anything, we give them hope — hope that one day they will meet a family who takes them home, where there is love, safety, and a garden to call their own.
