🐾 **SOME DAYS ARE EASIER THAN OTHERS… YESTERDAY WASN'T ONE OF THEM.** 💔

Yesterday, another **40 animals were sterilized.** Forty cats and dogs who will no longer contribute to the endless cycle of unwanted litters.

And for that, we are grateful.

We are always relieved when owners agree to have their animals sterilized. It means we are making progress, one animal at a time.

**But it's what we discover along the way that breaks our hearts.**

Yesterday was one of those days.

💔 A male dog with open, necrotic testicles, left untreated for far too long.

💔 A puppy in one of the yards whose head had accidentally been stomped on.

💔 A female with burn wounds.

And the list goes on…

These are the things that don't always make it into the photographs. The suffering we witness. The neglect we encounter. The helpless animals who cannot tell anyone how much they hurt.

And sometimes, it all becomes a little too much.

❤️ **To the incredible Sterivet team:** We see these heartbreaking cases at our sterilization days. You see them at sterilization days all the time. Yet you continue to work with compassion, professionalism and dedication. Hats off to every one of you. You have our deepest respect.

❤️ ** Cloud of Hope Shekinah and Lindie Rossouw :** I see these animals when they arrive at the hall. You see the conditions they live in when you go out to fetch them. I know it isn't easy. Yet you keep going, day after day. Thank you for your strength and commitment.

❤️ ** Juanita Stoltz :** Once again, you made sure that wounds were checked, patients were comfortable and everyone was safe during recovery. Thank you for your gentle hands and caring heart.

❤️ **To the Cape of Good Hope SPCA inspectors:** Your assistance with fetching and returning animals is absolutely priceless. These days would be so much harder without you.

❤️ **To our wonderful donor:** Without your generosity, none of this would be possible. You are helping us change lives, even those you will never meet. May you be abundantly blessed.

Yesterday left us physically tired and emotionally drained.

There are days when you come home and struggle to shake off the images of what you have seen.

Days when you wonder how people can allow animals to suffer like this.

**But then you remember why you started.**

Because every sterilization prevents more unwanted puppies and kittens from being born into a world where so many are already suffering.

Because every animal we reach is another animal whose life might become a little better.

And because turning our backs on them simply isn't an option.

**So we pick ourselves up, gather our strength, and do it all again.**

Not because it's easy.

**But because they need us.** 🐾❤️

**Be blessed.**

🐾❤️ ANOTHER 43 LIVES CHANGED ! ❤️🐾

10 cats and 33 dogs sterilized!

Another long, exhausting, but incredibly rewarding day.

Two females who were on heat and one female suffering from TVT came back to the farm to receive the care they need before returning to their homes.

❤️ THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!

🌷 To our incredible donor: May you be blessed beyond measure for making these sterilization days possible. Without your generosity, none of this could happen.

🐾 Sterivet : Thank you to your awesome veterinary team for your dedication, professionalism and compassion towards every animal.

❤️ Cloud of Hope Shekinah and Lindie Rossouw : For organising, preparing the hall, driving around, fetching and returning animals, and always going that extra mile. You are absolute stars!

🐕 Cape of Good Hope SPCA inspectors: Thank you for fetching and returning the biggest load of animals! Your continued support means so much.

🌸 Juanita Stoltz : For monitoring patients, checking wounds and making sure our recovering animals are comfortable and cared for.

🐾 Siyanda Lazi : Thank you for tirelessly encouraging sterilizations in your community. You are making a difference where it matters most!

🏡 De Novo community: Thank you for once again opening your hall to us. Your generosity makes these days possible.

❤️ And to everyone who played a part, THANK YOU!

We have sore bodies, aching heads and tired feet. But our hearts are full because we know that 43 animals will no longer contribute to the endless cycle of unwanted litters.

Think of the hundreds of puppies and kittens that will never be born into a life of hunger, suffering, abandonment and neglect.

THIS IS WHY WE DO IT.

We cannot rescue our way out of this crisis.

We have to stop it at its source.

And that is exactly what we are determined to do.

🐾 On the 20th, WE WILL DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN! 🐾

Because no matter how tired we are, we cannot give up.

Sterilization is not just part of the solution. It is the only sustainable way to break the cycle of unwanted births and neglect.

Together, one sterilization day at a time, we ARE making a difference.
