Not quite Rugged Kitty related but as some of you may know, I'm now in the wholesale fuel industry.
That being said, I receive the predicted increase and decrease for the end of the month daily. As it stands, we are in for a knocker of an increase which is sitting around the R4.50 mark per litre of diesel at the pumps, and R2.60 for petrol.
This one is going to hit the pocket hard if it stays around there, with everything else taking a hit incl your two litre bottle of milk. Advice... Budget well this month so that next won't hurt as much.

Twine pre orders open!! 2kg Balls for those eager to do a quick DIY fixer upper on their poles.

Due to high demand... Twine pre-orders are open. R475 per ball. It's the same twine used on the Rugged Kitty poles so you know it's the good stuff.

Collection will be from Durbanville. Courier can be arranged at an additional cost.

Note: I'd suggest you only replace the sections that have been clawed through. Normally the very top and bottom of the poles are ignored. Twine stores well should you like to order a few balls and keep them on hand.

P.s. Unfortunately Rugged Kitty has not started making scratch posts again. The factory closed in 2023. I've closed for manufacturing. If ever that changes, you'll be the first to know.

How are you?

Could you pls post recommendations of cat gym manufacturers and state where they are. I'm still being asked for refurbs and getting catalogue requests.

I'm not so clued up on who makes the best goodies, in Cape Town especially, but if you can help those out in Jhb and Dbn too.

I preferred not to hand over the Rugged Kitty brand and left it without anyone possibly wrecking the name, and even I've had a hard time finding decent goodies since.

Any help for the Rugged community would be appreciated.

Ruggies..... Long time no hear, I know.

I decided to put together 4 single pole scratchers with what I had left over...

First come first serve (Note: I don't have any other supplies left).

Unit 1 - 64cm carpet pole, top and floor covered in Dark Grey Faux Fur - R400

Unit 2 and 3 - 56cm tall, carpet covered pole, top and floor covered in Faux Fur - 1 in black, 1 in dark grey - R350 each

Unit 4 - 46cm tall, Sisal Twine covered pole, top and floor covered in Dark Grey Faux Fur - R350

I see the fleece lasts aaaaages. Can't say the same for the twime 🤣 If any takers to this lady's unit, you can cover the poles with Berber Point offcuts from your local carpet supplier / installer.

We are 𝐔𝐑𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐋𝐘 looking for 5L and 2L ice cream containers to dispatch cat (2L) and dog food(5L) in!

If you have any empty and clean containers please can you donate it to the Riverlands Disaster Area so that we can dispatch cat and dog food to the families who are in urgent need of food for their pets. For some families these containers will be the only item that will keep the food dry.

Directions from the Cape Town side:
(1) Take the N7 Highway towards Malmesbury
(2) You will pass the Philadelphia/Atlantis turnoff.
(3) When you get to exit 50 - Kalbaskraal, Chatsworth Atlantis (R304) - exit the highway
(4) At the stop street turn RIGHT and proceed underneath the N7 highway until you reach a roundabout.
(5) At the roundabout you take the 3rd exit - Rondeberg Road.
(6) Just after the bend to the right you will see the entrance to our farm on the right.
(7) Take the dirt road until you get to the 1st road to the left - turn left and make your way to our cattery and our main dog area at the top of the farm.

Directions from Malmesbury :�
(1) Take the N7 Highway towards Cape Town
(2) Take the Atlantis (R304) - exit from the highway
(3) At the roundabout you take the 2nd exit (to the left) - Rondeberg Road.
(4) Just after the bend in the road to the right you will see the first entrance to our farm on the right.
(5) Take the dirt road until you get to the 1st road to the left - turn left proceed to the top of the farm where you will see the cattery and our main dog area.

**We are also on Google Maps.

We will unfortunately not be in a position to fetch 1 or 2 containers at a time and it will really be greatly appreciated if we can coordinate a drop-off of these containers at our premises or contact us on 072-779-7424 for a collection point address.

Don't know who made this nor the quality but looks practical and ideal for 3 cats. I'd suggest placed against a wall as it's on a single pole.
