The Pixar Fosters (and Charlie) are visiting for a couple weeks (all is well). They look so cute here but they’re still adjusting to the room for their boarding stay. Once they’ve relaxed enough to come out of hiding, I’ll start the YouTube stream. Their mom will use it and another private stream to watch & check up on them whenever they can.

My foster win Grayson, formerly Ki of the Lake Fosters we fostered last year - his littermate Shadow had to have emergency surgery to remove an obstruction. Related to my post about losing my job due to the contract not being renewed, I'm pleased to share that I am now gainfully employed in a job that I really wanted. Yay!

Our time is currently limited but we're not done fostering yet, but will continue to occasionally board while figuring things out. In a few weeks, the Pixar Fosters (and their brother Charlie) will be coming to visit! 💖

Things are a little uncertain here job wise. I'm employed with Amdocs which is a contracting agency and my placement was working at AT&T. The contract I was working under wasn't renewed so next Monday is the last day of the contract and thus my last day at Amdocs as a result since Amdocs doesn't have any other opening for me.

What this means is that we won't be able to foster due to the uncertainty of life and the ongoing & potentially months long constraints fostering entails. However, we will be open to short-term boarding through Jess's cat sitting business Whiskers At Home so the building can still get use and the livestream can go live.

If you are donating to Patreon to support the Critter Room building, rest assured that those donations will only be used for fostering - it will continue to be saved up for both future foster expenses and the hopes of eventually raising enough to add a mini-split HVAC system.

We have a shopping list on Amazon if you want to donate towards caring for the fosters and taking some load off of Hidden Gem Cat Rescue. Our greatest need right now is kitten food - six kittens and three adult cats eat a LOT of food!

Lilith had a vet appointment today due to her being a bit withdrawn and loosing weight. She was dehydrated and a little anemic and got fluids & appetite stimulant and an anti-nausea shot. Nursing six kittens was just too much for her close to her past litter so we’ll be setting her up with a onesie to stop the wee ones from nursing.

Welcome sweet mamma Lilith!

This lovely lady has had 2 litters of babies within the last year and has been doing a wonderful job. Thank you so much to for fostering this adorable family!

16 years ago today, I brought home my first set of fosters from Purrfect Pals Cat Adoption Centers. There were a few breaks in the span but with 74 sets of cats & kittens and the large world-wide group of followers & kitty admirers, it has been a whirlwind of furr & fun. Meeting the human clowders at the different Kitten Cam Cons and the memories….
