A last look at the set up that was needed for the Team Okanogan Animal Rescue‘s Big Fix 4. On different shifts I volunteered at the surgery tables, as part of the transfer team taking the animals to the surgery tables, and as part of the recovery team. The last pictures are of the food and products that were available for the people to take home for their animals. What an amazing service to this community!

I just returned from The Big Fix 4, put on by Team Okanogan Animal Rescue (TOAR) and The Greater Good Charities. This is a small portion of the volunteers that it takes to put on a herculean event like this. Thanks to everyone who supports Ashley‘s Kitten Academy, we were able to make a $10,000 donation towards this event. That donation supported 117 spays and neuters. I think that is such a wonderful use of our funds, and I hope you do too. The cost boils down to $85 per animal. If you figure a $600 bill at a regular vet, the $10,000 would’ve only spayed and neutered 16.5 animals. That’s the impact that an event like this makes!

Look who stopped by! Gus‘s dad Jeff came to my house to drop off the last round of cranes. This is us at the table where I fold my cranes. We’re so excited to get the project finished up and the cranes hung.

I had the pleasure of visiting The Cats Meow- Spay, Neuter & Adoption Project in Chehalis Washington. Twila and her volunteers do a remarkable amount of good in their community with very few resources. They offer so much free help to those who can’t afford it and their dollars are stretched very very thin. We need resources like this so badly, and if we want to keep them, we need to support them. This is a very underserved community and it would be horrible to lose a resource like this that has been built up over the years. A friend of mine has been a foster mom for years. She currently has this brown tabby and black tabby that are ready for their forever home. Could they perfect for you, or a friend of yours?
Adorable, bonded, 4 month old female kittens are looking for their forever home. First sets of vaccines, spayed, chipped, dewormed, flea treated and viral tested. Born in foster care, use to being around people, love wands, laser lights, kitty wrestling and a warm lap to snuggle on when they are all worn out. They have impeccable litter box manners and are pros at using cardboard and carpeted scratchers. Must be willing to give them the love they deserve, safe indoor home and reward their cuteness with a Churu treat daily. Currently located in S.Everett. Those interested in visiting them can do so in their foster home.

Blossom is having another birthday! Who would’ve thought she would still be here four years after Ashley was told to humanely put her down because of a heart problem. She was adopted along with Jack and Breezy so all of Ashley‘s cats are still together. I am so thankful to the couple that adopted them and is giving them such wonderful care.😻🥳🥰🙏🏻🎉

The first week of June is what we call Ashley‘s week of kindness. Please do something this week to take care of yourself, or someone else. Thank you to Son Bauer-Lane for creating this event. And of course, “Please take care of each other.”🥰😻🙏🏻

I am so happy to be folding cranes with Gus Gus’ dad! And I can’t wait to see them all hanging next to the memorial plaque for Ashley in the lobby of the Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project in Lynnwood, Washington. I hope you will join us in this journey. 💕
