Drumroll please!!!!!!! Ripley a Newt are in their new home! On August 24, I posted about these two beauties who Ashley adopted out several years ago needing a new home. You will remember them as Flower and Daisy. They were a mommy and kitten pair. Their current owner was sick to have to re-home them, but it needed to be done. Luckily she left plenty of time to reach out to me and we had a wonderful outcome. Another one of Ashley‘s followers had just lost her cat and needed the love of two more. They have been in their new home for nearly a month now, and everything is working out wonderfully. When the two ladies spoke, they even realized they had known each other years prior. It was a perfect match! I hope this helps to brighten your day😻🥰❤️👏🤗

It’s World Su***de Prevention day. As a grieving mother who has been affected by su***de 2 times, I need to say please take care of your mental health for yourself and all of your loved ones. When you don’t, the trail of grief and pain is unbelievably difficult for those that remain behind. You are missed more than you could imagine. You are more valuable than you can imagine. And you have no idea how wonderful your life could’ve been if you would have stayed even one more day. Please try to stay that one more day and then one more day after that. Reach out for help, from a friend, family, or coworker. If you don’t feel you have anyone to reach out to, call an organization like the national alliance on mental illness (NAMI) who has some wonderful programs, or call the national su***de prevention hotline at
1-800-273-8255. You were put on this planet for a reason. Please decide it’s worth staying!

This amazing rescue group works in a very difficult area in Yakima Washington. Their work is greatly needed there but they need our financial support right now. They have rescued over 700 kittens so far this season and need your financial help to keep up their amazing work. Can anyone out there help them right now? Hopefully, we can open again soon. We have to get our head above water first.

Who remembers Ashley‘s first picture on Patreon? I wanted to let you all know that her Patreon is alive and well. We have a lot of fundraising to do for the project that we will do in Ashley‘s name and to carry Ashley’s Kitten Academy forward with the work that Ashley devoted her life’s work to. 
All donations go directly to the project in her name, TNR, and kitten welfare projects. We just donated $250 to sponsor South County Cats for their upcoming Catoberfest fundraiser.  This is an amazing organization that just marked the accomplished of spaying and neutering 25,000 cats in Washington state. I will have a booth at the festival and fundraiser on October 21 from 11 to 3 PM at Renton Technical College.

Today is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day. As such, we'd like to share this beautiful poem and image by Becky Hemsley Poetry, copied entirely and pasted from her page:

They saw you watching over them
As they finally closed their eyes
They smelt your scent as they breathed
In and out for the last time

They heard the way your voice broke
As you told them they were loved
They felt you as you held them
With your gentle, farewell touch

And now they watch each morning
As you pass their empty bed
They watch you lose composure
And they see the tears you shed

They hear you bear the silence
Of the footsteps that are gone
That walk across your heart each day
Like echoes of a song

They feel the pang of emptiness
You get when you’re alone
In moments when you realise
That they’re never coming home

But in their darkest moment
You were there to hold them tight
And they just want the same for you
So you can feel alright

So they’re sewing you a rainbow,
Weaving ribbons through the sky
So they can let you know
That life is good beyond goodbye

So next time it is raining
And the sun appears as well

To what they are trying to tell
