Need a little more dahlia (or flowers in general) in your life but you don’t want the work of growing them? Our dahlia bouquet CSA is for you! Weekly bouquets on each Tuesday in September with pick up at Dill & Dahlia, free delivery in Mays Pond, or on Wednesdays at GranWest in Seattle for their employees! Discount ends on Sept 4th, so don’t delay! I also send a weekly email with a list of that week’s varieties so you can make a tuber wish list if you did want to try growing dahlias 🫶🏼 (scan the qr code or go to our website to get your bouquets!)

Amazing weekend of DAhLIAS at the Puget Sound Dahlia Association 50th Anniversary Show Sky Nursery ! Both Fran/Mom & I entered for the first time, made a dahlia wall tile, and clerked for a judging team. So many swoon-worthy dahlias! I even had 2 section winners!

Happy Farmstand Friday!!

Today is a stem-only flower day. Choose your own adventure! We have snips, rubber bands and bags out to make it easier 🙂

Happy Farmstand Friday!

This week the garden is FINALLY doing its abundant thing 💕

We have:
💐 dahlia bouquets galore!
🫛 pole beans (purple Romano beans turn green when cooked)
🍅 cherry tomatoes
🥒 cucumbers
A few seed packets of seeds from a friend who gifted me her stash (these were the duplicates!)

Take a few dahlia bouquets and share with friends! We’re up to 12 buckets of dahlias harvested this week 😱 Maybe 650 plants is a few too many…nah! 😆

Happy Farmstand Friday!

This week we have:
💐 dahlia bouquets a-plenty! Grab more than one and share forward, please!
🫛 pole beans (purple ones are “Romano” style and turn green when cooked)
🪴silene “blushing lanterns” starts. Perennial & self sow. Already blooming! Cut back when you plant them and they’ll bloom again for you this season!

Another 3rd year waterlily seedling! Fran (my mom and the other half of Dill & Dahlia) is a BIG fan of waterlily dahlias. We both decided that we need to name them before the end of the season. Last photo is the haul from this morning’s harvest. We may need to graduate to a truck before the end of the season 🤣
