Our Blood Bank Service provides dedicated transfusion medicine and blood storage for pets requiring emergency care, advanced surgery or complex medical support. Behind every unit is a strict screening protocol, advanced storage standards and a team focused on safety and precision at every step.

ACES stays open 24/7 this long weekend and our emergency and critical care teams will be on site day and night.

Services not available this long weekend (Saturday 26 – Monday 28 September)

•⁠ ⁠Urgent endoscopy
•⁠ ⁠Mechanical ventilation
•⁠ ⁠Blood bank
•⁠ ⁠Specialist imaging (MRI/CT/Ultrasound)

If your pet may need any of these, please call us before you come in. Our team will assess, stabilise and help arrange the right care.

Public holiday surcharge: A 15% surcharge applies to all fees from 12:00am Monday 28 September until 12:00am Tuesday 29 September 2026.

⚠️⚠️⚠️ Temporary Power Outage – Sunday 20 September

Western Power is carrying out works in our area today, and ACES is currently without mains power. Power is expected to be restored by approximately 3:30 pm.

Our existing hospitalised patients are safe and continuing to receive care with the support of our backup generators.

However, until power is restored, we are unable to accept new emergency walk-ins or referrals.

If your pet requires urgent veterinary care during this time, please contact your nearest pet emergency centre.

We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. We expect to resume normal emergency services from 3:30 pm today.

Clients with pets currently hospitalised with us can still call through to our phone lines.

An update on our walk-in emergency capacity.

From 12 September to 11 October 2026, please call us first prior to emergency walk-ins to allow our team to triage and prioritise the most critical cases and our capacity.

What you need to know:

•⁠ ⁠Emergency and critical care referrals sent directly from veterinary practices continue as normal.
•⁠ ⁠Existing appointments and referred care remain unaffected.

Thank you for your understanding during this time as we grow our emergency team and strengthen how we work, so we can keep giving your pets the best care.
