🎓🐾 Puppy Preschool Graduates! 🐾🎓

A big congratulations to our gorgeous graduates Moo, Yuki, Chilli and Keksi! 🥳🐶

These clever pups have officially completed Puppy Preschool, learning lots of important skills, building confidence and, of course, having plenty of fun along the way!

We’ve loved watching their little personalities shine each week. 💕

🐾 **Meet brave little Maple 💕**

At just 6 months old, Maple was diagnosed with a papillary squamous cell carcinoma, a rare type of tumour affecting her mouth.

Maple underwent surgery to remove the tumour, which involved removing her upper front teeth, including a retained tooth near her sinus, as well as the affected section of bone at the front of her upper jaw.

Following her surgery, Maple spent a week with us in hospital while she recovered. She handled everything incredibly well and, despite all she had been through, remained her happy, affectionate little self — always ready for cuddles from the team. ❤️

For such a young pup, Maple has been through a lot and has been an absolute little superstar throughout her treatment.

We think this brave little girl deserves lots of love. 🐶💕🐾

🐾 Coco's H***y Nut Adventure! 🐾

Coco, a Labrador x Retriever puppy, was brought in after she started vomiting. As she's well known for eating absolutely everything, her owners were worried she may have swallowed something she shouldn't.

After examining Coco, we took X-rays, which suggested there may be an obstruction. Dr Darron recommended exploratory surgery to find out exactly what was going on.

The cause turned out to be a eucalyptus h***y nut lodged in her cecum (part of the large intestine), causing inflammation and a blockage. The h***y nut was removed successfully, and Coco is now recovering well.

Puppies, especially Labradors, love to chew and swallow all sorts of things. Gum nuts, sticks, toys, socks and rocks are just a few of the foreign bodies we see. If your dog starts vomiting, stops eating, or you think they've swallowed something they shouldn't, it's important to have them checked as soon as possible.

We're very happy with how Coco is doing and seeing her back to her cheeky puppy self. ❤️

Mela's wonderful mum shared this gorgeous photo with us to celebrate her 15th birthday, and we couldn't resist sharing it! From the sparkly tiara to the delicious-looking cake, she's celebrating in true princess style. 👑🐾

Reaching 15 is such a special milestone, and we're so honoured to be part of Mela's journey. Here's to many more cuddles, treats, tail wags, and happy memories.

🦷✨ Cookie's Dental Day! ✨🦷

Cookie visited us yesterday for a dental scale and polish, and here she is enjoying some cuddles with Dr Sara during her stay. 🥰🐶

A common concern we hear from owners is about the general anaesthetic required for a dental procedure. While every anaesthetic carries some level of risk, modern veterinary anaesthesia is very safe, and patients are closely monitored throughout their procedure by our experienced team. ❤️

In many cases, the risks associated with untreated dental disease are actually much greater. Dental infections can be painful and can allow bacteria to enter the bloodstream, potentially affecting important organs such as the heart, kidneys, and liver. 🦷➡️❤️🩺

Regular dental scale and polishes help remove plaque and tartar before they progress to severe dental disease, often reducing the need for tooth extractions and helping pets live happier, healthier lives. ✨

Cookie was a wonderful patient and received plenty of cuddles from the team during her visit. Isn't she adorable? 😍🐾

🐾💙 Meet Fish! 💙🐾

Just look at that gorgeous face! 😍

Fish recently found himself in a bit of trouble after an altercation with another dog in the household. Like many dogs, they got a little too excited, but unfortunately Fish was left with more than just a few bruises.

Over the following days, a severe infection developed deep within his back leg which was making his whole body septic. 🩺

Fish was admitted to hospital over the weekend, where he received intensive care from our team, including IV antibiotics, pain relief, and lots of TLC. ❤️‍🩹

Despite everything he went through, Fish was an absolute superstar patient. He never complained, remained gentle and cooperative throughout his stay, and quickly won over all of our staff. 🥰

We're happy to report that Fish is now on the road to recovery and feeling much more comfortable.

No more fighting, Fish! 😉🐶
