All the dogs have trimmed nails and brushed fur as of today. The superstar of the day is Duke!! I had to muzzle him for his last nail trim so I did again today. I could have left it off, he never even tensed up or thought about being naughty. He’s really growing trust with me.
We won’t mention how necessary the muzzle is for Ruby’s nails though…🤪❤️

We lost the sweetest girl Tipper today. She had some neurological symptoms start to come up in the past couple days. Some of our seniors are just a bit ‘more’ special and she certainly was.

The grey cats are having their meeting in the kitchen today. I wonder what they’re speaking to each other about. Bullwinkle, Fritz and Sam Elliot.

Tipper update: turns out she’s got a nasty ear infection, easy enough to treat. But she also has lots of damage to her lower spine and her kidney failure has advanced. We’re going to start treatment for pain management and do our best to keep her as happy as possible. ❤️

Good thoughts for Tipper (16yr old Boston mix) today. She’s not been feeling well and we’re headed to the vet.
On a good note, Shirley has made such a 180 turn. She’s gained weight, her fur is full and soft and she’s become quite the affectionate girl. She even comforted Tipper last night. ❤️

Today was all about the cats. Zoe (left) got a good haircut on her belly. She’s older and doesn’t groom herself as well as she used to and had quite a few mats.
Chocolata (right) is a new boy of 15yrs. His human dad passed away recently and human mom had to go to assisted living so he found his way to us. To say this cat is loved is such an understatement, his drop off with us was quite emotional. He also got a good belly haircut and I’m slowly brushing him out. He’s such a sweet boy.
