Must Luv Dogs Rescue A 501(c)3 foster based dog rescue in Zachary LA Must Luv Dogs Rescue's mission statement is: "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves".

Based on Proverbs 31:8-9, we believe it is our responsibility to be the voice of these beautiful four-legged souls. Too often they are abused or neglected by a human who is responsible for taking care of them. Even though they are let down by their humans, they remain loyal. Many times they are dumped and discarded. They have no voice to ask for help. We are that voice.

Emergency Foster Needed! This pitiful little boy was running down the highway and almost hit several times near US Hwy 61 & Old Scenic calling him “Zooby”. Horribly neglected with matting that’s been there for a very long time. He’s a very sweet unaltered male. We cleaned him up as best we can but he will have to be fully shaved. So far seems house trained and quiet in a kennel. Just scared and very hungry. Suspect he’ll be a gorgeous dog again once he’s rehabbed. Must have secure fence! ☺️ Happy Tails to our girl Buttercup (now Finn)! Buttercup and her 2 sisters sadly found themselves dumped in a rural area. Thankfully, they were rescued and a sweet couple stepped up to foster all 3 pups! Finn is loving her new home and her new doggy sibling. There will be no shortage of love and snuggles the rest of her days. 🐾💕

We are in desparate need of monetary donations for our veterinary expenses. Many of you know that we rescue, rehab & rehome dogs...but what you may NOT know is that we have our very own Island of Misfit Dogs! Over the years, we’ve accumulated quite a few “unadoptable” dogs. Due to their sad history, advanced age, poor health or behaivoral issues, these “misfits” are placed in our most dedicated long term foster homes. Although you may not see them at our events OR on our petfinder, we pay all of their medical expenses for life! Like Santa, we believe that these misfit dogs, more than any others, deserve to live out their lives in happiness & we plan to care for them as long as they live.

We are a 501(c)3 non profit rescue & will provide receipts for tax purposes.
100% of these misfit funds will go DIRECTLY to pay for their veterinary expenses!

🐾 He is smart, loving, loyal, and great with people and kids. He just needs to be your one and only. Cal doesn’t deserve to lose everything because of one requirement. All he needs is one person to say yes.

Our Story

This page is the result of many years of working in animal rescue, volunteering at various shelters and adoption programs, as well as establishing the local lost pets page. Through the FB page, the lost pets page has helped reconnect hundreds of lost pets with their families as well as rescue countless abandoned strays. After working with a local governmental agency to help develop a program for animal control, and being frustrated at the lack of desire and/or dedication of funds to bring that goal to fruition, I, with the support of a couple of friends who share a passion for animal rescue, have formed this 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping dogs within our reach. It is truly my belief that we are to be the voice of these precious creatures of God. Thus, our mission statement is “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.” Proverbs 31:8. God wants us to care for all of his creation with compassion. Dogs have a special place in our lives. They are the MOST loyal & trustworthy of friends. They will love us, no matter who we are or what we do. They are quick to forgive & eager to please. Yet, when they are lost, in need, or suffering from abuse or neglect, they have no voice to ask for help. They have no feet to walk for help. They have no power to knock on our door to report it. We have to be their eyes, ears and voice. That's what this group is all about! We hope you'll join us as a volunteer, foster, donor or just a FB follower! Thank you!
