Courtesy Post – Help Gerry Find His Forever Home 🐾

Meet Gerry, a sweet, energetic boy who is looking for a new home through no fault of his own.

Gerry is about 3 years old, weighs around 80 lbs, and is a handsome tan mixed-breed (best guess). He was found abandoned on the side of the road and has been a beloved family dog ever since. Unfortunately, with a recent change in his family situation, they are now seeking the best possible home for him.

✨ About Gerry:

Neutered & house trained

Up to date on vaccinations

Completed basic obedience training

Very affectionate, loving, and enjoys snuggling

High energy — loves to play fetch, run, and be active

Has lived with other dogs and enjoys playful interactions

🐶 Dog Dynamics:
Gerry does well with other dogs socially and enjoys playing chase. He does have food-related reactivity, so he would do best in a home where meals can be managed separately, or potentially as an only dog. Outside of food situations, he is friendly and playful.

👶 Kids & Other Animals:

Does best in a home without babies or toddlers

Has done well with older, school-aged children

Has not been around cats

🚗 Transportation can be arranged for the right home

UPDATE: FOSTER FOUND

Foster Home Needed – Bonded Great Dane Sisters 🐾

We are urgently searching for a foster home for two beautiful Great Dane sisters, Symphony and Willow.

Their owner recently escaped a domestic violence situation with her children and heartbreakingly was unable to bring the dogs with her. She is doing everything she can to ensure they are safe and able to find a loving forever home.

✨ About the girls:
• Symphony – Brown brindle Great Dane
• Willow – Merle Great Dane
• 6 years old, turning 7 in February
• Spayed and up to date on vaccinations
• Bonded pair – we would love to keep them together
• Have lived successfully with kids, small dogs, and cats
• Unsure how they do with larger dogs

These girls are sweet, well-mannered, and deserving of stability after all they’ve been through. A foster home would give them the chance to decompress and prepare for adoption while staying together.

Remember Rumor now Zara? She is the GSD mix we pulled from the shelter right before being euthanize with her unborn pups.

She had her babies Christmas Day and here is some new pictures of her and her babies. She is a great Mom.

It will be awhile until they will be up for adoption. We will keep you updated on their progress.

🚗 Volunteer Transport Needed 🐾

We’re looking for a volunteer who can help with a transport this week. We need someone to drive to Waukomis, Oklahoma (near Enid) to pick up a new foster dog for the rescue and then meet the foster in the Oklahoma City area.

This transport will help get a dog safely into rescue and on the path toward a better future. If you’re available and willing to help, we would be extremely grateful.

🐾 Immediate Foster Needed for Cookie 🐾

Meet Cookie, a one-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd mix who is in urgent need of a foster home. Her owner has entered a drug treatment program and is unfortunately unable to care for her right now.

Cookie is a sweet girl who is:
✔️ House-trained
✔️ Good with people, kids, and cats
✔️ Mild-tempered and easygoing

She hasn’t had much exposure to other dogs, so her dog-to-dog behavior is unknown, but she appears to have a gentle personality.

🐶 The rescue will cover spay surgery and all vaccinations—we just need a safe, loving place for Cookie to land.

Christmas is over and now it is time to think about 2026. We have some special pups that would love to have a forever home in the New Year! They have been in rescue for awhile now

Some would make great walking, running buddies and others would be great lounging and cuddling with you or playing with the kids.

They are all fixed, house trained, and crate trained.

Huxley — An Underdogs Alumnus Looking for His Next Chapter 🐾

Huxley is an Underdogs alumnus who was adopted in 2022 and loved dearly by his family for several years. Sadly, his world changed when his dad passed away, and through no fault of his own, Huxley now finds himself needing a new home.

Huxley is a well-tempered, friendly, and affectionate dog who truly enjoys being around people. He is great with adults and children alike, doesn’t jump on people, and loves being petted and included.

He gets along well with other dogs and has a calm, respectful demeanor. While he hasn’t been tested with cats, there’s no known history either way.

At home, Huxley is crate-trained and well-mannered. He doesn’t bark excessively — only alerting when someone comes onto the porch. He’s generally very easygoing, with accidents only occurring when his food has been changed. He is also sensitive to loud noises like fireworks, so a calm, reassuring environment during storms or holidays would help him feel secure.

He is currently in boarding, which is safe — but not where a dog like Huxley truly thrives. Huxley urgently needs a foster or adoptive home that can provide him with companionship and security as he transitions to a new chapter in his life.

We’re still learning more about Huxley, including how he does with other dogs, cats, and children. What we do know is that he is a sweet, gentle dog who has already proven he can be a loving companion in a home.

We’re looking for a foster or adopter who:

understands that transitions and grief affect dogs, too

is willing to go slowly and let Huxley decompress

believes that patience and presence matter more than perfection

Huxley didn’t fail his family — and his family didn’t fail him. Life changed, and now he needs someone to help him land softly again.

🎄 Exciting Christmas Update! 🎄

We are thrilled to share that Rumor, the German Shepherd mix we pulled off the euthanasia list at the Oklahoma City Shelter just two weeks ago due to being pregnant, delivered her puppies on Christmas Day at 3:30 AM!

She welcomed eight healthy puppies into the world — five girls and three boys. 💗💙

Mom and babies are doing wonderfully, and we couldn’t be happier or more thankful. A huge thank you to Rumor’s amazing foster family for loving and supporting her throughout her pregnancy and being there for her during this special moment.

Because of rescue, foster care, and community support, this family got the chance they deserved. 🐶✨
