Pretty Maggie and handsome Scooter were mating the last four days in hopes of having another litter of puppies around June 23. Maggie will get her PG test in 4 weeks to see if the timing is right. We took her to the vet for some progesterone tests to key in on when she was at her most fertile stage in her heat cycle so we’re hoping for good news. Bear decided to eat some lettuce for dinner. I taped the prices back together, but still missing a few chunks. Headed to the bank to trade these in for replacements! Expensive meal.

Maggie’s PG test was negative today so we’ll wait until March and try again. Sure makes the Christmas holiday a little less hectic without having to tend to new puppies but things always work out for a special reason. The vet said she was in excellent health and her weight was 86lbs. He also loved the recipe for the fresh food mix we have been making at home for our pups. Stay tuned.
