Sergeant is still seeking his forever home. Serg is a stunning 7 year old 15 hand buckskin. He is sure to make you stand out in a crowd with his beautiful looks.

Serg is best suited for a confident intermediate to advanced rider. He has been hitting the trails regularly with us. He is a gentleman at heart but needs someone to take the time to earn his trust as he wasn't always treated kindly.

Serg is ready to be taken in the direction that you want, whether that be trails or gymkana. His potential has yet to be unlocked.

⚠️RANCH CLOSED⚠️

"He just needs a job."

I hear that all the time, spoken about horses that have shown a tendency to out-smart their riders.

"Put him to work. Give him something to do."

Well, yeah, but you got to get him broke first, and sometimes that task ain't pretty. Sometimes it's messy and it's real and it takes guts. Some colts demand that you be as brave as them when your boot hits the stirrup. They challenge the round corrals and lunge lines, flags and tarps and they feed off the hesitation and doubt behind all the ground work designed to tame them.

They don't want to be tame.

They're wild, and courageous and not afraid of a damned thing.

They are spirited free thinkers.

Movers and shakers.

They have a thunderstorm in their chest where their heart should be.

And if you are going to ride them, you best throw caution to the wind.

Maybe be the rider who races the rain now and then.

Pulls the bridle just to see how it all shakes out.

Yeah, some colts need a job, but they still need the rider to do it with them...and there aren't as many of them being raised anymore. Caution is being crammed down young people's throats like candy, so they grow into adults who know limits instead of expectations.

And the colts that need a job? Why, most of them fall through the cracks; filed away under the heading 'cowboy horses' in a world where real cowboys are becoming scarce and hard to find.
