MEOW MEOWS SAVED FROM EUTHANASIA 🥹

These four baby kittens were listed for end of day euthanasia at the Devore shelter. We’re not totally sure why since they are happy healthy kittens but this is the true mission of our rescue.

Although we get tons of requests for people trying to find placement for cats they have, please understand that if we said yes to all of those requests, kittens like these would be dead. Our rescue has the precious ability to pull from the most high-kill shelters in SoCal. It is our goal to help the most vulnerable animals who would otherwise be killed.

So for the Karens I see online that get mad about us not taking their cat to rehome, these little faces are why. We’re not a shelter, we’re their way out 🩵 and every single donor, visitor and volunteer makes this lifesaving work possible.

CAT LOUNGE CUTENESS ✨🪩🌵

The fun thing about visiting the lounge is that each time you come it’s a whole different experience. The cats throughout the day get into different moods (playful, sleepy, mischievous) and as we bring in new cats the entire vibe can shift. So even if you’ve visited before we love repeat guests and think it’s a definitely worth it to support our rescue efforts and get some cat therapy at the same time.

I’d love to see how many of you are repeat guests- comment and let us know how many times you’ve visited the lounge 😽

P.S. - I have an idea to do a raffle for a lifetime pass to the lounge, let me know if that would be enticing!

Thanks to you, these meow meows will have so much less pain and we can feel less panic about that big bill. Check out their x-rays to see the actual teeth!

So we’re hoping to fundraise a portion of that to help cover these costs. We certainly didn’t expect 22 teeth needing to be extracted from each kitty, they must have been in so much pain poor babies.

Our luck keeps getting worse 🥺 Turns out both Dutchess AND Eeyore each need 22 teeth removed!

This will put the bill at over $2,000 so we’re hoping some of you would be willing to help them. The vet literally charges per tooth so if you’d like to sponsor a removal simply donate in increments of $20 and you’ll be assigned a tooth, or multiple!

Let’s know which kitty’s teeth you want to sponsor and we will assign & update! Otherwise I will add it at random. I can’t imagine the amount of pain these poor kitties have been in so it’s pivotal to provide this dental surgery.

Help…MORE dental surgery needed🦷 We can’t catch a break!

We rescued Eeyore (the cutest moody emo boi) from the high-kill Devore shelter and Dutchess (a pretty Calico princess) from our local Yucca Valley shelter. Unfortunately they both are in need of expensive dental surgery for rotted teath.

Our rescue cares about cats’ health and quality of life and we go to the ends of the Earth to make it happen on a shoestring budget- which leads me to sitting here at this moment in a random motel in San Diego awaiting an early morning drop off for these meow meows headed to Mexico. 🫠 Unfortunately even with this, dental surgery is an expensive procedure and we will need to raise some funds to help cover the cost which I expect to be over $1k.

It is extremely painful to live with teeth issues so dental care can dramatically and immediately improve their quality of life and change their entire demeanor. So while it’s a logistical and budgeting nightmare, we think it’s absolutely worth it for them and hope you do too 🥹🙏
