Ear mites, under microscope. 😳 If your dog or cat has itchy ears, or if there’s smelly, dark, waxy debris in their ears, these little buggers may be the cause. Treatment generally involves a thorough ear cleaning and application of a parasiticide. A follow-up appointment is strongly recommended about 3 weeks after the first treatment, to be sure the mites are completely eradicated. Important to note: ear mites are spread rapidly through direct physical contact or by shared bedding. It is necessary to treat all of your pets (dogs, cats, ferrets) for ear mites at the same time. 💕🐾 This is Mariposa (Mari), which means butterfly in Spanish. She’s a Chihuahua, only 8 weeks old, and she was introduced to our exam process today—which includes lots of attention and affection from all of us who were lucky to be working today. Her tiny little body, big bright eyes, and sweet kisses are delightful! We can’t wait to see Mari for her next set of puppy vaccinations.

There is no cure for heartworm in cats. Even if your cat is strictly indoors-only, they can be exposed to an infected mosquito in your home. Please heed the warning. Good info. With the extreme heat and recent rain, we can expect a lot of mosquitoes to be hatched soon. Heartworm is a terrible disease, spread by infected mosquitoes. Puppy dog eyes are the BEST! Meet Mocha, a 14-week old, 14-pound, Bernese Mountain Dog mix. 💕 She was here for her puppy boosters, and we couldn’t resist taking her picture. Those eyes had us mesmerized! 🥰 Many thanks to Mocha’s family for letting us share her pictures here.
