As our very first Wyo Gives comes to a close, we just want to say…thank you. ❤️

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for every donation, every share, every comment, every kind word, and every person who helped spread our story today. We truly felt the love from our community.

The donation portal will remain open until midnight, so there’s still a little time left if you’ve been thinking about giving.

These last few photos are of some of New Hope’s longest residents. For quite some time, this shelter has been the place they call home.

Here, they are cared for every single day. They have full bellies, fresh water, soft beds, toys, clean spaces, medical care when they need it, and people who know them, love them, and make sure they are safe.

Today, because of you, that care continues.

Whether an animal stays with us for a few days, a few months, or much longer, they deserve kindness, comfort, and hope. Your generosity helps make that possible.

💚 One Week Until WyoGives: The Work You Don’t Always See

7:30 a.m.

The dogs are fed, and our staff gets to work.

Cat rooms are cleaned. Every litter box is scooped. Fresh food and water are set out. Kennels are scrubbed, bedding is changed, and the first load of laundry is already going—one of many that will run throughout the day.

This routine repeats itself every single day because the animals depend on it.

Behind every clean kennel, fresh blanket, and wagging tail is more than just a dedicated team. It’s running water. Hot water. Working washers and dryers. Fans that keep the building comfortable. Cleaning supplies, everyday maintenance, and a shelter that can continue providing the care every animal in our care deserves.

These aren’t the things people usually think about when they support an animal shelter, but they’re some of the most important.

WyoGives is just one week away, and your generosity helps us keep all of it going—so our staff can continue showing up every morning ready to provide the care every animal deserves.

Because while the calendar changes, the animals’ needs never do.

📣 Calling all Lab lovers… this one’s for you. 🖤

You know the type.

The dog who believes every puddle, sprinkler, kiddie pool, creek, or lake was put on this earth specifically for him.

The dog who thinks carrying around a toy is a full-time job.

The dog who greets every day like it’s the best day ever.

The dog who insists that wherever you are is exactly where he should be.

If you’re smiling right now… you know.

Meet Nix.

At 7–8 years old, Nix is everything people love about Labs. While we can’t guarantee he’s a purebred, we can guarantee he checks just about every Lab box there is.

💦 Water? His favorite toy.
🦴 Rawhides? Yes, please.
🎾 Toys? Absolutely.
💪 Tug-of-war? Five-star champion.
❤️ Being close to his people? That’s his favorite place to be.

He’s a big, playful guy with a joyful spirit that hasn’t slowed down one bit. His beautiful eyes have a way of making you smile, and his enthusiasm for life is downright contagious.

Now… he isn’t going to spend his weekends retrieving ducks. But if you accidentally drop a snack—or need someone to help search the kitchen for crumbs—Nix considers himself highly qualified for that position. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Because Nix is still an active boy who loves to run, play, and enjoy all those classic “Lab activities,” he’ll need a home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely burn off that happy energy.

Some dogs simply make life a little brighter.

🎆 Fireworks can be exciting for us—but frightening for our pets.

Every year, shelters across the country see an increase in lost pets after fireworks send them into a panic. A little preparation can make all the difference.

Before the festivities begin:
🐾 Exercise your pets early in the day to help burn off excess energy.
🏡 Keep them safely indoors with doors, windows, and gates secured.
🎶 Create a quiet, comfortable space with a TV, fan, or calming music to help mask the noise.
🏷️ Make sure collars, ID tags, and microchip information are current.
💚 Stay calm and reassure them with your presence.

If you know your pet struggles with fireworks or loud noises, don’t wait until the last minute. Talk with your veterinarian ahead of time about options to help keep them comfortable and safe.

Let’s work together to make this holiday safe for every member of the family. ❤️🐶🐱
