he well-being of animals and the people of Monroe County, Southeast Ohio. Every role in our shelter is filled by passionate volunteers, and we operate without monetary support from state, federal, or local entities.

💙 Our Mission: We are committed to the general welfare, sheltering, and placement of animals, preventing cruelty to animals, addressing animal overpopulation, and educating our community on the humane treatment of all living creatures.

🌟 How We Operate: All the funds we receive, whether through fundraisers, community support, membership fees, or grants, go directly back into the shelter. Unlike national animal welfare groups, your donations here directly impact the lives of local pets in need.

Meet Sweet Little Sally — Tiny but Full of Love! 🎄🐾

Sally may be the smallest of her litter, but her heart is as big as they come! This tiny sweetheart has the softest fur, the gentlest spirit, and a calm, loving personality that melts hearts instantly. 💕

She’s a laid-back little pup who loves to snuggle and watch the world go by — perfectly content to curl up in your arms or nap by your side. Sally is hoping to find her happy forever home before Christmas, where she can share her quiet love and puppy kisses every day. Sally is approximately 4 months old. She is very smart. While she isn’t completely potty trained, she is working hard at it.

Give this little angel the gift of family this holiday season — she’ll give you endless love in return. 🎁🐶

This girl will lay in your lap as long as you let her! We can't believe she's still at the shelter. She had a bit of a rough start in life, losing litters of kittens due to unfortunate circumstances, she managed to raise her last litter with love and grace ♥️ The kittens all found wonderful homes and she's waiting for someone's lap to lay in for the rest of her days 🥰 Ashley is up to date on vaccines, feline leukemia tested, dewormed and spayed.

Precious, innocent Joseph. This six-month-old young man had a challenging beginning in life, having been abandoned along with his mother and siblings. Fortunately, we obtained custody of all of them, initiating medical treatment and healing. Joseph's eye had previously ruptured, necessitating months of medication until Doc Meckley could safely remove it. Joseph has been neutered, tested for feline leukemia, and is current on vaccinations. This little love bug is now seeking a loving home ❤️

The objective of this courtesy post is to assist Asher in transitioning seamlessly from his current home (basement) to a forever home, thus avoiding his admission to our shelter. 🙏😔 Born in July 2017, Asher has consistently resided in a home equipped with a fenced-in yard and has undergone crate training. Playing fetch is his preferred activity, and he exhibits high energy levels. It is understood that Asher's vaccinations are up-to-date, and he has been neutered. Asher is an exceptionally affectionate animal, yearning for daily human interaction. 🐾🙌 If you are interested in acquiring more information about Asher, please visit our page to complete an application or contact the shelter, leaving a message that will be promptly returned.
