Our team members share many years of experience serving the animal health care needs of Madison County. Cedar Creek Animal Clinic was established in January of 2008 by Dr. John Holcomb, an ISU gradutate, who has practiced veterinary medicine in the area since 1995. CCAC is a full service small and large animal facilty that provides on site care with farm calls and has a doctor on call to provide

emergency care 24 hours a day. We also have boarding facilities, with outdoor play areas for dogs, and offer basic grooming services. Our trained and dedicated staff strive to provide the highest quality animal healthcare in the area.

We need someone to fill an opening on our animal health care team as a boarding pet care giver. Hours will include mornings from 7-10 am and every other weekend split shifts. There is an opportunity for this to turn into a full time veterinary assistant position for the right candidate.

The 2025 Madison County Fair has ended, but we had an amazing time supporting the 4-H and FFA exhibitors this year!
The clinic was a red ribbon sponsor of the fair and made contributions to the Madison County Cattlemen, the sheep project, the goat project, the dog and cat projects, as well as the premium auction.
Stan helped with the exhibitor breakfast on Thursday morning and judged the Trick Dog Show on Friday night; John did ultrasounds on cattle projects on Sunday morning; Kelly judged the cat show on Wednesday and Mitzi, who is the Superintendent of the dog and cat projects, had the dog show on Sunday along with the Trick Dog Competition, Agility Fun Run and Dog Awards Ceremony on Friday and had the cat show on Wednesday. She also had duties as the club leader for the Bark Brigade 4-H club.

We are excited to welcome Natalie to our animal health care team as a clinic and boarding assistant!!!!
She has a love for animals and has worked with a variety of species including horses, cattle, sheep, hogs, cats and dogs. She especially likes working with large animals and is continuing her education at SWCC in Creston in the fall to major in Livestock Production. In her free time, she enjoys fishing, hanging out with family and lounging around with her dog Ellie. At the clinic, Natalie enjoys interacting with the boarding pets and taking care of them.

Summer is here and so is the heat and humidity. PLEASE make sure your animals have plenty of shade and fresh water! If they are acclimated to being inside in the air-conditioning, make sure you are monitoring them and limiting the amount of time they are outside. If you think one of your animals may have overheated, call your vet ASAP!!!!

IMMEDIATE JOB OPENING - FILLED!!!

Are you finding yourself with extra free time this summer and want to spend it with dogs, cats and an amazing team of co-workers?

We need a part - time clinic assistant ASAP. Job duties would include caring for our boarding dogs and cats, cleaning and assisting other team members with tasks as needed. Hours would include mornings (minimum of 7am - 9 am), afternoons (minimum of 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm) and split shifts every other weekend (Saturday 7 am until noon; 4 pm - 6pm and Sunday 7 am - 9 am and 4 pm - 6 pm). Extra hours may be available throughout the summer.

This is perfect for kids who have turned 16 and have their own transportation to get to and from work. And... the part-time position can carry over into the school year with our flexible scheduling!
