AARF AARF is a nonprofit 501(c)3 aiding homeless and helpless cats and dogs in the greater Winston-Salem We are open from noon to 5pm Tuesday through Friday.

Adoption fairs are resuming for cats on Saturdays from 11 am to 2 pm and dogs from 11 am to 1 pm. in the backyard. Watch Facebook for up-to-date information. You may visit our website to see our adoptable cats and dogs. You may turn in an online application at aarfws.org

🐶 Mason – 8 mo, 32 lbs, Lab mix
Shy but sweet! Loves walks, crate trained, needs help with potty training. Best with older kids who respect boundaries.

🐶 Stella – 4 yrs, 80 lbs, GSD mix
Potty/crate trained, amazing on a leash. Needs to be the only dog.

🐶 Acorn – 3 yrs, 53 lbs, Boxer/Pit mix
Playful & happy! Loves toys. Possibly potty trained. Dog compatibility unknown.

🐶 Felix – 3 yrs, 51.8 lbs, Doodle
Potty & crate trained, selective with dogs (needs a meet & greet).
🔹 Needs structure, training, fenced yard
🔹 No young kids or elderly
🔹 Active home preferred

One Year Waiting. A Lifetime of Love to Give.

Look into Pepper’s eyes and you’ll see it all—hope, heartbreak, and the quiet wish to finally be chosen. Pepper was adopted as a sweet, playful puppy through The Haley Graves Foundation. She thought she’d found forever. But years later, she was dropped off at a crowded shelter, scared and alone. When they scanned her microchip, our friends at Haley Graves got the call—and they didn’t hesitate. They brought her back. Since then, Pepper’s been in a safe and loving foster home, healing from the trauma of being abandoned. She’s grown more confident, more loving, and more ready than ever to start again. She’s been waiting for a whole year—and it’s time she found the forever family she’s always deserved.

Pepper is:

• About 4 years old

• Crate trained, house trained, and fully vetted

• A sweet, silly, loyal companion

• A one-and-only kind of girl—she needs to be your only pet

• Best in a calm home with people who will love her unconditionally
