Good morning country K9er’s. We have grown so much and are having a blast with everyone’s fur kids!!! What we have discovered after the last three extremely busy weekends, is that we have to make some changes. One of our biggest issues is that people are making reservations and then picking up a day early with no notice. This is a problem for 2 reasons. 1 is we try to prepare ahead so check out can go quickly (toys blankets food etc packed up) and invoices made. 2 is we have turned away 5 customers due to being full that we could have taken if we had known. This not only inconveniences our customers, but also we end up with empty kennels. We do understand that plans can and will change, but it is now happening too often. We will be charging for full reservations that are made and will no longer refund if dogs are picked up early. We would also like to start having payment made at drop off if at all possible if dogs are going home on Sundays. This will save us so much time at check out. Another big issue is customers showing up during our “closed to humans”times. We have set hours for drop off and pick up. Several people have been showing up early and expecting to come in. If you come early and the groomers are still working, they will NOT check in or check out boarding dogs. They are not kennel staff. If you show up before 4 o’clock, please be aware, we will not open early and you will have to wait. This is in no way intended to be rude or to inconvenience you. We have a schedule for the dogs and need to have all our focus on them. You wouldn’t go to Walmart before they actually open and expect to get in so please do not do this to us. The care of your pets and our customers is the most important. If we can make the check in/ check out process easier, it will benefit not only the staff but also our customers that are waiting patiently to drop off/pick up!!!
