🐾 Welcome, Spunky! 🐾

Recently we had the absolute cutest visitor—Spunky, an adorable dachshund puppy, came in for his very first vet checkup! 💛

He was brave for his nose-to-tail exam and did amazing with his first round of vaccines. Lots of treats, snuggles, and tail wags were involved, of course. 🌭🐶

We’re so excited to watch this little guy grow up healthy and happy. ☺️

We know those puppy-dog eyes and the kitten mittens are hard to resist… but sharing human food with pets can do more harm than good. Even small amounts of table snacks can lead to:

⚠️ Toxic reactions (chocolate, onions, garlic, raisins, xylitol & more)
😣 Upset stomach — vomiting, diarrhea, gas
🩺 Pancreatitis from high-fat foods
⚖️ Weight gain, diabetes, and obesity

Your pet’s digestive system is very different from ours, and what seems harmless to us can be dangerous to them.

👉 Keep them safe: Remind family members and guests not to sneak bites under the table.

Everyone say hello to Peter Paw-ker, our friendly neighborhood senior kitty! 💙

This handsome boy swung by for his semi-annual senior exam and bloodwork, and—as always—he charmed every single member of our team. Peter is aging like fine catnip, and these regular checkups help us make sure he stays healthy, comfy, and ready for all his important superhero duties (like napping and demanding snacks).

A**l glands may not be the most glamorous topic, but they play a big role in your dog’s comfort and health! Sometimes a**l glands don’t empty properly — and that’s when problems can start.

🩺 Why It Matters:

Prevents discomfort: Full or impacted glands can cause itching, pressure, and soreness. 😓

Avoids infection: Blocked glands can become infected or form abscesses, which are painful and may require treatment. 💊

Signs Your Dog May Need A**l Gland Care:

👉 Scooting or dragging their bottom
👉 Excessive licking or biting near the tail
👉 A sudden strong odor
👉 Swelling near the rear
👉 Discomfort when sitting

🐾 Meet Grim — Our Newest Feline Patient! 🐾

We recently had the pleasure of working with Grim, a gorgeous cat with a timid personality. Despite her spooky name, Grim turned out to be one of the sweetest patients we have worked with. 🥰

She came in for a routine check-up, and we’re happy to share that she’s in great health. After a thorough exam, a few proud head-butts, and one very determined attempt to gain pets from Dr. Milani, Grim went home with a clean bill of health. ✨
