From a large abscess and an uncertain road ahead to a full recovery 💙
This sweet pup, Moet, came to us with a significant abscess that required ongoing treatment, medications, and numerous recheck appointments. Healing wasn’t an overnight process, but thanks to a dedicated treatment plan, a committed family, and the exceptional care of Dr. Joyce, Moet made an incredible recovery.

After weeks of working together toward the same goal, Dr. Joyce was just as excited as the owner to see this happy outcome. To celebrate the big milestone, she even surprised the owner with a tiny bottle of champagne—a small gesture for a huge victory! 🍾✨

Cases like these remind us that veterinary medicine is about more than treating patients—it’s about building relationships, celebrating victories together, and being there through every step of the journey.
We’re so proud of this brave pup and thankful for dedicated veterinarians like Dr. Joyce who truly invest their hearts in every case. 🐾❤️

A wellness visit is about much more than a quick exam.

During your pet’s checkup, we evaluate their overall health from nose to tail, including:

🐾 Weight and body condition
🐾 Teeth and oral health
🐾 Skin and coat condition
🐾 Heart and lung health
🐾 Mobility and joint comfort
🐾 Eyes and ears
🐾 Behavior and lifestyle changes

Regular wellness exams help us understand what’s normal for your pet and allow us to spot small changes early, before they become bigger concerns.

There is a lot of confusing information online about pet vaccines, and many pet parents are not always sure what to believe.

Here are a few common vaccine myths:

🐾"Indoor pets do not need vaccines": Even indoor pets can still be exposed to certain illnesses.
🐾 “Vaccines are unnecessary if my pet looks healthy": Vaccines help prevent serious diseases before pets become sick.
🐾 “Vaccines are unsafe”: Most pets tolerate vaccines very well, and they play an important role in long-term preventive care.

Every pet has different needs depending on age, lifestyle, and overall health.

Not sure which vaccines your pet may need? Schedule your pet’s wellness visit and our team will guide you

Why should puppies wait about a week after their final vaccine before socializing? 🤔

Vaccines don’t provide immediate protection. After your puppy receives their last set of vaccines, their immune system needs time to build a strong response and develop protective antibodies.

During this period, puppies can still be vulnerable to contagious diseases such as parvovirus and distemper, especially in areas where other dogs frequent.
Waiting about one week after the final vaccine appointment helps ensure your puppy has the best possible protection before visiting dog parks, pet stores, daycare facilities, or other high-traffic dog areas.

Socialization is still important! Before they’re fully vaccinated, focus on safe socialization experiences such as meeting healthy, vaccinated dogs you know, exposure to new sights and sounds, and positive interactions with people.

Have questions about your puppy’s vaccine schedule? Give us a call—we’re happy to help! 🐾
