Congratulations to Odin for completing his 2 Week Board & Train Program!

Odin came to us needing help building a solid foundation in obedience, confidence, and impulse control. Over the past two weeks, he has made tremendous progress in all areas and has worked hard to learn how to make better decisions both at home and out in public.

Odin has gained confidence in new environments, improved his ability to stay focused around distractions, and developed a much better understanding of his obedience commands. Welcome to the RSK9 Family!👏🏻

Congratulations to Bailey, our newest graduate!

This sweet Goldendoodle just completed her three-week board and train program with us and absolutely crushed it! Bailey's family needed help clearing up communication, establishing consistent expectations + boundaries, as well as building reliability with her obedience commands.

With a new baby in the picture, Bailey needed to improve her neutrality and learn the art of keeping all four paws on the ground. Over the last few weeks, we worked to strengthen her listening skills, reinforcing calm leash manners, impulse control, duration on place, and waiting patiently at thresholds.

Bailey made tremendous progress and learned how to channel her playful energy into the task at hand. Through routine, structure, and consistency, we know Bailey will continue to thrive back at home! Congrats again, Bailey, and welcome to the Ridgeside K9 Family! 🎉

Congratulations to Stormy, our recent graduate!

This young Labradoodle just completed her three-week day training program with us and passed with flying colors! Stormy came to Ridgeside to lay a strong obedience foundation and learn how to be a well-mannered dog.

Over the last few weeks, we first established clear communication to effectively mark inappropriate behaviors such as jumping, nipping/mouthing, and chewing household items. Then we slowly pushed her thresholds and layered on distractions to build reliability with her commands as well as guide her to make better decisions. Stormy quickly learned which behaviors lead to reward, improving significantly on her neutrality and impulse control!

We are so proud of Miss Stormy and the amazing progress she has made during her stay! She now walks politely on leash, quickly comes when called, and knows when it's time to be calm and follow directions. We will miss this silly pup on our training floor, but can't wait to see her training journey continue back at home. Congrats again, Stormy, and welcome to the Ridgeside K9 Family! 🎉🎓

RSK9 Marinas Crew: Tian, Maggie, Marge, Jill, Maggie (lab)

Today was a productive day for the crew! Marge and Jill were introduced to leash manners and began learning how to follow leash pressure appropriately while staying engaged.

Maggie took a trip to Sonic to work on her obedience and confidence in a busy environment. Tian focused on her recall, building speed and reliability when called. Maggie (Lab) worked on her down stay with added distractions, helping her build duration, impulse control, and consistency around real-world challenges. Great work crew!👏🏻

RSK9 Josh’s Training Crew of Loki, Tulip, Joules, and Babka:

Happy Friday from Josh’s training crew!! The team finished off the week strong! Tulip did more work on perfecting her “place” training while building in even more distance and distractions.

Babka and Joules worked hard on their greeting manners, practicing staying calm while meeting new dogs and people. Meanwhile, Loki worked on his recall drills, teaching him a solid recall to come when called. Great work this week!!
