The time and expense veterinarians must invest to maintain 50 hours annually of continuing education is why only 7% of Texas veterinarians are members of the Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice. On May 19, 2026, At approximately 9:00 AM, fox was seen attacking a cat in the back yard on Cedar Valley Ct. Wimberley, TX. The owner of the cat dispatched the fox and it was picked up by Hays County Animal Control. The fox was tested by the Department of State Health Services and was found to be POSITIVE FOR THE RABIES VIRUS.
