Our hospital cat, Cedar, washed, dried, and folded all of the clinic’s laundry today. After all of his hard work, he took a much deserved cat nap in the laundry basket. Thank you, Cedar!🫧🧺😸

Emergencies come in many forms, and they may require anything from a brief absence from your home to permanent evacuation. Each type of disaster requires different measures to keep your pets safe, so the best thing you can do for yourself and your pets is to be prepared.

Dr. Sara Butler✨

Dr. Butler is a graduate of Western University of Health Sciences and the newest addition to the GBAH team. Bringing a fresh perspective and enthusiasm for preventative medicine and senior care, she has quickly become a valued member of the hospital. Originally from California, she is embracing her new chapter in Chicago while dedicating herself to providing high-quality care to GBAH patients and their families.

Although Dr. Butler is new to GBAH, it does not take long to recognize her compassionate nature. She demonstrates genuine care not only for her patients but for all life in the broader world around her, reflecting a strong sense of responsibility and consideration in all that she does. Dr. Butler has also sweetly shared some of her desk space with Princess, the clinic’s live-in stunning cat, a small gesture that speaks to her kindness😽

When asked what she is most proud of since becoming a DVM, Dr. Butler shares the story of a Yellow Labrador Retriever whose large lipomas had significantly limited her mobility. After successfully removing the masses, Dr. Butler helped restore the dog’s comfort and movement, allowing her to enjoy more happy years with her family.

Fun Facts:
•She loves baking, crocheting, and traveling.
•Her favorite movie is Legally Blonde💖
•She has a pretty eclectic music taste, but her go-to artists in the O.R. are ABBA and Stevie Nicks!

Thank you for all that you do, Dr. Butler💛
