# # 🐾 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: City Events & Pets 🐾
With the exciting community events for **Hannah Harper** coming up this **Wednesday, May 6th**, Willow Springs Animal Control would like to remind all residents and visitors of our city ordinances regarding animals at public gatherings.
To ensure the safety and comfort of all attendees during the parade and evening festivities, please be advised that **no animals are allowed at any city-sponsored or sanctioned events.**
# # # 📜 The Fine Print:
Per **City Code Section 205.335 (Animals Prohibited At City Sponsored Or Sanctioned Public Gathering)**:
> "It shall be unlawful for any person to permit any animal to be at or upon any city sponsored or sanctioned public gathering."

# # # ⚠️ Please Note:
* This rule applies to all city-sponsored events, including those scheduled for **May 6th**.
* **Violators will be ticketed** in accordance with city regulations.
* *Service animals specifically trained to aid those with disabilities are exempt as per ADA guidelines.*
We love our furry friends, but for the safety of the crowds and the comfort of the animals, please leave them safely at home while you enjoy the festivities.

It was a crazy day in Willow for Animal Control
7:45 Removed a large Ground Hog from a residence and gave him a new home in the National Forest.

9:15 take a dog to Priority Pet Care of the Ozarks for Rabies Shots.

9:30 Investigate dogs and dog pen that had been built around a city electric meter, preventing city employees from reading the meter.

11:00 Investigate trash truck driver bitten by dog while trying to empty trash bins. Ended up being in the county.

4:00 pm Large Turkey at Large near North Walnut

Never a dull moment.
And just a reminder.
Be a responsible pet owner!
And Roosters 🐓 and Tom Turkeys are not permitted in the city limits.

If anyone is missing a few calves near or in the city limits contact the Willow Springs Police Department or animal control they are being moved to a safe location.
Owners must prove ownership.

🐾 FOUND DOGS - HELP US FIND THEIR OWNER 🐾
Willow Springs Animal Control picked up two dogs earlier today that were trying to play in traffic near US 60-63 and Pine Grove Road in Willow Springs.
We were able to safely bring in the mother and one puppy, but unfortunately, a third dog eluded capture and is still in the area.
About the dogs:
* Mother: Very well-mannered and friendly.
* Puppy: Seems healthy and is not malnourished.
If you recognize these dogs or know who the owner might be, please contact us immediately so we can get them back home where they belong. We want to get the little family reunited and off the highway!
