Austin Carson is one of the Veterans in our service dog program. He is an amazing guy and we are proud of him and his Service Dog Ember.

In the early 2000s, Wichita native Austin Carson figured out that being a dance major at WSU wasn’t his calling and says God had another plan.

This past weekend, our intermediate group undertook an outing to Town East. The event marked a milestone for several dogs, who were encountering a crowded environment for the first time. While numerous distractions were present, the dogs' experienced handlers ensured their seamless navigation. Additionally, the newcomer dogs displayed impressive proficiency in utilizing escalators and elevators. The dogs' resilience consistently impresses us. Teams, your work is outstanding.

Here are some pictures from our basic obedience class this weekend. All of these dogs and their handlers are making excellent progress. We are extremely proud of these teams and the hard work they put in together. Yesterday brought a moment of pure magic as our newest Veteran, Akil, connected with adorable service dog puppies. As they bonded through play and snuggles, we started laying the groundwork for a lifelong partnership. We prioritize finding the ideal match, where puppy and Veteran choose each other. Soon, Akil will welcome his carefully selected companion home, beginning an incredible journey.
