November 16th is National Slobber Appreciation Day! This is the day that we give a little extra love for those floppy-jowled, drool-loving, tail-waging faces who show us every day that love is messy, joyful, and full of enthusiasm!

Why celebrate? Because slobber can = honest excitement. Dogs can drool when they’re happy, anticipating treats, zooming around, and just being their goofy selves.

Slobber appreciation day started in 2012 by a devoted owner of big slobbery breeds (hello, Newfies!) to honor the charm of dogs who drool and to push back against the idea that drool is a “problem.”

This October 27th, we celebrate Día de los Mu***os for pets, a special day to remember and honor the furry, feathered, and scaled companions who filled our lives with unconditional love.

Set up a small ofrenda with their photo, favorite toy, a treat, or a flower to welcome their spirit back home. Though they may be gone, their pawprints remain forever on our hearts.

Trivia Tuesday!

What's the only part of a cat's body without fur?

Answer: The pads of their paws

Did you know the only place a cat doesn't have fur is on the pads of their paws? Soft, squishy, and fur-free!

We love seeing your pets come through our doors, but for everyone's safety, please remember:
🐶Dogs must be on leash when on our property (This includes outside), If a dog is on a Retractable Leash it must be locked to a short length.
🐱Cats must be in carriers.
We do have slip leads for leashes and cat carriers that can be borrowed if needed!
This helps keep all pet and people safe during visits. Thank you for helping us make the hospital a happy, stress-free place for everyone!
