Cody was a true animal lover, and each year, Kathy visits our shelter to share a meaningful gift made possible through funds raised during the foundation’s annual golf scramble. ⛳🐶🐱

Honoring Our Heroes This Veterans Day

Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who have served our country with courage and sacrifice. At HSforBC, we are proud to stand beside our veterans through our partnership with Pets for Patriots, helping match veterans with loving shelter dogs in need of a home.

These matches change lives on both ends of the leash offering comfort, companionship, and a fresh start for both veteran and pet alike. Both veterans and animals receive a second chance and a bond built on loyalty, healing, and unconditional love. 🐾❤️

To our veterans: THANK YOU. Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, your strength, and our freedom. ❤️🤍💙

Many veterans live with invisible wounds, such as anxiety. For one veteran a rescued Pit Bull mix is navigating her to better mental health.

We're honored to receive a certificate of appreciation for helping feed Boone County pets in 2025 through the pet food pantry in Lebanon. So far this year, between the Advance and Lebanon pantries, we've distributed over 14,000 lbs of dry dog food, 4,000 lbs of dry cat food, and 9,000 cans of cat food. Your support and donations make this program possible - thank you for helping us feed pets in need.
