🐾💙 A HUGE THANK-YOU TO K9 Cardio Fitness! 💙🐾

Our playyard may be under construction, but that isn’t stopping our pups from getting their steps in! 🐶🏃💨

A HUGE shout-out to K9 Cardio for coming out this week to help exercise our shelter dogs and give them some much-needed activity, enrichment, and fun while their usual play space gets a makeover! 🐾❤️

Exercise isn’t just about burning energy. It’s about keeping our pups happy, healthy, mentally stimulated, and ready to show off their best selves to potential adopters. And thanks to K9 Cardio, our pups got to stretch their legs and enjoy some extra love and attention! 🥹🐕

We’re so grateful for our community partners who step up when we need them most. It takes a village to care for these deserving dogs, and K9 Cardio, we’re so glad you’re part of ours! 🐾💙

Please join us in showing them some love in the comments! 👇❤️

Sweater weather has officially arrived! 🍂🧡

We had to break out the sweaters for our morning walk at the shelter, and Wrinkles was more than happy to show off his fall fashion! 🐾🥹

A little chilly air, a cozy sweater, and a morning stroll with this handsome boy. What could be better? 🍁💕

And the best part? Wrinkles is up for adoption and would love to spend the rest of sweater season snuggled up in a home of his own!

💔 How is Otto still waiting? 💔

We truly don't understand how this sweet boy is still calling the shelter home.

Otto has watched so many dogs come and go, attended adoption events, met countless people, and stolen more hearts than we can count. Yet somehow, he is still waiting for someone to choose him.

He's affectionate, playful, full of personality, and has so much love to give. He loves his toys, enjoys his walks, and would be more than happy to spend his evenings cuddled up next to his favorite person.

Otto isn't asking for much. Just a family to love, a couch to call his own, and a chance to finally go home. 🥹

As volunteers, it's heartbreaking to watch such a wonderful dog continue to be overlooked. We love him dearly, but we want nothing more than to see him walk out our doors for the very last time.

Please help us find Otto his person. Share his story, tell your friends, or come meet him.

It's time for Otto to be someone's everything. ❤️🐾

Thanks to the generosity of the Boone County community, our Emergency and Serious Medical Needs Campaign was fully funded today.

Thank you so much to everyone who was able to make sure we are well resourced to pay for needed medical procedures that save lives, prevent permanent injury, and ensure our dogs and cats can be safely adopted.

The campaign is now closed, but you can continue to support our work through our regular donation page.
