As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we spotlight Palm Beach County shelter dogs in need of short-term fosters for 7 days before they continue their journey to adoption through Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League!

Shay is back… and our hearts are hurting for this sweet girl 💔🐾
She’s been here before, and while this isn’t the update we hoped for, we’re hopeful her next chapter is still out there.

Shay is now back in the program and looking for a 7–10 day short term foster while she waits for her fresh start. She deserves stability, love, and a forever home that truly lasts. ❤️

Not every dog’s journey from shelter to forever home is a straight line. A few days in a home. A soft place to land. A chance to remember what it feels like to be safe, seen, and loved without pressure.

That’s exactly what this short term foster program is about. It gives shelter dogs a 7–10 day “pause” outside the shelter environment before they move forward into the adoption process through Peggy Adams!

Those few days change everything. Dogs decompress. Their personalities come forward. They learn trust again. And fosters get to be part of the moment a dog starts to feel like a “rescued dog” instead of just a shelter intake.

It’s not forever but it’s often the bridge that makes forever possible.

If you’ve ever thought you couldn’t foster because it’s too big of a commitment, this is the kind that proves even a short pause can completely change a life!

Finally!!! 🎉 Florian is officially in short term foster and we couldn’t be happier about it!

We’ve been waiting for the right person to step up for this sweet guy, and of course, Dashia delivered 🙌 She’s a rockstar repeat foster, and honestly, Florian hit the jackpot landing with her. It makes all the difference having someone experienced, patient, and full of love guiding him through this next step.

This is exactly what short term fostering is all about... giving dogs like Florian a chance to decompress, shine, and get ready for their forever home 💛
