Many of you know Mia, the little dachshund who inspired this entire project and the reason UrbanaPet even exists. Today we need to share something very hard. On Thanksgiving Day, Mia was diagnosed with advanced heart disease, completely out of nowhere, with no symptoms or warning signs.
Since then, we’ve been doing everything we can to keep her stable and begin the medical process that could give her several more years of good quality life. But every exam, every test, and every treatment comes with a significant cost, and the expenses are rising faster than we can manage on our own.
We created a GoFundMe to help support her care during this difficult time. Mia isn’t just our pet. She is family, our muse, and the soul behind UrbanaPet. And right now, she needs us more than ever.
