Your Dog Trainer is a small part of your success equation… choosing the right trainer can make all the difference, but once that training is done, your dog's overall life success is 100% up to the family.

Thena’s life has been completely turned around. I boarded a dog a couple of days ago, and it was the exact same dog I gave away after the Freedom Program. Exact level of training. This doesn’t happen often. The family has done a remarkable job, better than I could imagine.

The family has maintained all aspects of behavioral modification in this dog at the highest level.
This is a totally different dog.
Thena is respectful, calm, patient, cooperative, and sweet.
Bravo to the family for the tremendous, impressive work they have done with her!!

This week, Umka turns 10. Ugh… to say that I love this little thing… It’s an understatement.

I raised all my personal dogs with different training methods.

Umka represents force-free training. She hasn’t had a correction in all 10 years of her life. Now you see her running around the parking lot and think, "Oh my God, she is perfect off leash." Yes, in this circumstance. What circumstance, you ask? She hasn’t had her dinner yet, and I’m feeding her chicken hearts—that one. For the duration of two searches with Lauren, which is roughly 20-25minutes, she looks definitely perfect. And as long as there are no high-value competing reinforcers, this dog is incredible. Just remember, she was raised by a professional trainer with a master's degree who spent decade as a behavioral manager at the zoo. She’s also a very biddable dog by nature. I know what I’m doing. I'm also well aware of the limitations of that training method.

So when you’re looking at someone who tells you force-free methods will work no matter what, a 20-minute clip doesn't tell the whole story. By the way, most of them don’t even show 20-minute clips or any clips at all. All that positive reinforcement works perfectly in the controlled setting, not in real life. So I have to use my observational skills, common sense, and professional training to keep her running safely like that.

This girl, and the generations behind her, were built with LOVE. Proper structure, health, and behavior in mind. This dog was purposely bred and guaranteed lifelong protection by a pre-chosen owner, backed up by the breeder if the owner is no longer able.
Her line will continue to preserve the very best of the breed.
Adopt or Shop responsibly! 
Equally important for the love of DOGS 🐾❤️

Welcome, Bullet, to the Freedom program.
He came to me from North Florida as a special case.

This guy is 1-2 years old and about 80% blind, according to ophthalmology vets at the University of Florida who study and monitor his condition. Official diagnosis for both eyes: cataract, microphakia, retinal dysplasia - folds, microphthalmia, persistent hyperplastic primary vitreous. 

Although he’s navigating somewhat at the moment, the prognosis is blindness. I will incorporate a lot of practical applications of nose work into his program to help him and his family navigate as he lives his life.

As it often happens, because of his disability, his family has allowed him to do whatever he wanted until living with him got to almost impossible.

I have to say, he is the most feral German Shepherd I've ever seen. He lacks basic concepts and emotional regulation. Anxiety- and disrespect-rooted behaviors are extreme. 

He has been with me for three days now, and I have to say, once I unravel all this mess, I wholeheartedly believe that he will progress on a completely normal trajectory and his disability will have very little impact on his progress.

I started with him learning his name and imprinting the target odor, and he loves working!

These two are non-stop. Spartan is very well socialized and has stayed with me and trained with me since he was a puppy. Love their dynamic.
