Introducing May

May is one of those dogs whose love feels soft, steady, and incredibly special. She’s a gentle girl with a heart full of sweetness, and once she decides you’re her person, she’ll be your shadow, your snuggle buddy, and your built in source of comfort.

Her favorite place in the world is right in your lap, tucked under your arm, or nestled so close she might try to wiggle under your clothes if you’d let her. She’s affectionate in the sweetest, most tender way, and she gives her whole heart to the people she trusts.

May currently weighs 43lbs, has an estimated Birth Date of 01/14/25 and does well with other dogs. She’s house trained, walks good on leash, and has that quiet, loving presence that makes a home feel peaceful.

If you’re looking for a snuggly, sweet girl who will adore you, snuggle you, and be your loyal little sidekick, May is ready to give you all the love she’s been saving.

Pansy's Story:

This is the cute as can be Pansy. Sweet Pansy was found as a tiny, ill stray kitten and brought to the shelter so that we could get her healthy and help her find her loving forever home. She's now healed and healthy and on the prowl for her loving forever home!

This cutie pie has an estimated birthdate of 4/22/26, so she's just a few months old. Pansy is a sweet little girl with a fun-filled personality. She loves being picked up and she loves getting lots of pets and attention. This little charmer fires up her purr motor as soon as she is picked up and cuddled, or really given any attention at all. As much as Pansy is into cuddling and being loved on, she also loves to play too, and she loves the other kittens in our kitten room. This is really important for her too, as she was found as a lone kitten. Lone kittens tend to not be well socialized, so we always make sure that they get some quality time with other kittens their age. It would be wonderful to see her adopted with another HSMC kitten, and we have lots of them! Kittens do best when they have a companion, and have less long term behavioral issues. Single Kitten Syndrome is a real thing, and no one wants a Kittenzilla in their home! Plus when you adopt two kittens, you save two lives instead of one!

We don't know for sure how Pansy is with dogs, but considering her young age, we think that she would be fine with them. Of course care must be taken to protect sweet, Pansy due to her small size.

Would you like to meet this little sweetheart and hopefully another HSMC kitten too? If so please fill out an application, and once you're approved, we will call you to schedule a meet and greet!

** In order to adopt a kitten from HSMC, you must live within an hour of the shelter. You will initially "foster to adopt" the kitten and then the adoption will be finalized when they are brought back for their spay/neuter surgery. You will need to bring the kitten back for vaccines and exams prior to their spay/neuter surgery**

Meet the wonderful, Eskimo!

Eskimo's Story:

Eskimo's world was turned upside down when he and his beloved brother, Shadow, lost the person they loved most. Through no fault of their own, these sweet boys found themselves in need of a new home after their owner passed away and family members were unable to keep them.

At about 10 years old, Eskimo may technically be a senior, but someone forgot to tell him! This handsome gentleman is friendly, outgoing, and still loves to play and romp around with younger cats. He has a wonderful zest for life and a social personality that makes him a favorite with everyone he meets.

More than anything, Eskimo is a total lovebug. His favorite pastime is soaking up attention from his people. Whether it's pets, cuddles, gentle conversation, or simply being by your side, Eskimo is happiest when he's sharing time with those he loves. He has the sweetest, calmest disposition and makes an incredible companion.

Eskimo would love to be adopted with his brother, Shadow, so they can continue their journey together, but it isn't a requirement. What matters most is finding a loving home where he can feel safe, cherished, and part of a family once again.

After losing his person, this good boy is simply looking for a soft place to land. Despite everything he's been through, Eskimo remains as sweet, affectionate, and social as ever. All that's missing from his happy ending is a forever home filled with love.

Could you be the one to give this deserving boy the second chance he's been waiting for? If so, please complete an application and we will call you to schedule a meet and greet!

Flurry- Best Friends with Coney

Flurry's Story:

Meet BFF's Flurry and Coney. They came to us as itty-bitty babies and have been growing up in a loving foster home, where they've mastered the important kitten skills: zooming, wrestling, snuggling, napping, and convincing humans to hand over all available blankets.

These sweet babies have an estimated birthdate of 4/13/26, so they're just a few months old.

These cuties just arrived at the shelter from their foster home, and they are ready for their forever family or person to find them! They are having a ball playing with all of the other kittens in the kitten room, but they have grown accustomed to the spoiled life by living in a home. They LOVE cat trees, climbing towers, cardboard and carpet and rope cat scratchers. And they have a ball with any toy that you throw their way. They are even used to using automatic and traditional litterboxes. They are pretty much a four pack of the most perfect, well adjusted kittens that you will meet!

These cuties are equally adorable, calm and sweet as can be! Flurry is a tiny tabby with the sweetest little face and an even sweeter personality. She's mellow, loves soft blankets, and is happiest curled up on the couch beside her favorite people. Coney, is a gorgeous little house panther, he is just as mellow and snuggly.

These kittens absolutely love other cats and have become best buddies with the adult cats in their foster home. They'd make wonderful companions for children, too. While they haven't met dogs, they're young, adaptable, and would likely do well with a gentle, cat-friendly pup.

Because they've grown up with constant feline companionship, we'd really love to see them adopted together if possible. Kittens adopted in pairs do so much better than single kittens. Single kitten syndrome is a real thing and no one wants a Kittenzilla in their home. Kittens adopted in pairs have less behavioral issues, keep each other occupied and entertained, and are happier long-term. Plus you save two lives instead of one! It's the best arrangement possible.

Would you like to meet these sweet siblings? If so, please complete an application and then once you're approved, we will call you to schedule a meet and greet.
