Baxter- Bonded with Barnaby
Meet the team of Baxter and Barnaby. It may sound like a law firm, but this is a feline brother duo of the goodest boys around! These two sweet boys were found as stray kitties who had been living on their own for while, and brought to us by a kind person. These All American Good Boys have an estimated birthdate of 5/29/25, so they're barely a year old.
These bonded brothers have been through a lot together and they really rely on one another for friendship, comfort and snuggles. For this reason, they must be adopted together. Even though they were outside stray kitties who were hungry and without shelter, they've never let their rough start dampen their gentle spirits. In fact, they are the sweetest, most gentle laid back boys! Baxter, the handsome orange-and-white gentleman, was born without one eye, but he doesn't let that slow him down one bit. His tuxedo brother, Barnaby, is equally charming and sweet. Together, they're a package deal and trust us, you'll want the whole package.
Both boys are incredibly friendly, mellow, and laid-back. They love people, get along well with other cats, and are the kind of cats who never seem to make a fuss about anything. They enjoy lounging, cuddling, playing together, and enthusiastically reporting for canned food duty whenever meals are served.
One more thing: both boys are FIV positive, but that's not nearly as scary as it sounds. FIV does not affect the lifespan and kitties with FIV live long, happy, healthy lives. FIV positive and negative kitties can live together with no problems at all, as long as there aren't violent fights with deep puncture wounds. As me mentioned, the virus is primarily spread through deep bite wounds, not through sharing food bowls, grooming, playing, or snuggling. These boys aren't fighters, but they certainly are total lovebugs! Here is a website to checkout if you have never heard of FIV: https://www.fivcats.com/. This site covers ALL the questions and offers a lot of good information and helps break the undeserving stigmas about FIV that used to be so prevalent.
Barnaby and Baxter have not been around dogs since coming to us, but we suspect that they would be fine with a gentle, cat-friendly dog. They would be wonderful pals for the children in your life. So if you have kitty-loving children, these boys would be all in for that!
These boys have spent enough time surviving. Now they're ready to start living the good life with a soft bed, plenty of canned food, and a family to love. Could that family be yours? If so, please complete an application and once approved, come make these fantastic boys part of your family!
