Three months ago, Charlie could barely put weight on his leg.
Today? He’s back to doing what he does best — launching himself through life!

No surgery.
Lots of rehab.
Lots of patience.
Lots of controlled exercises, strengthening work, and reminding Charlie that “slow down” is apparently not in his vocabulary.

Watching him run, jump, and play again has been the best reward. 💙

Recovery isn’t always linear, and every dog’s journey looks different, but Charlie has worked so hard to get here. We’re so proud of this happy boy and how far he’s come!

“Oh no… my pet just ate something they absolutely shouldn’t have.”
We’ve all been there. Here’s your vet-approved game plan:
🐶Call your vet, Poison Control, or an emergency hospital immediately—when toxins are involved, time matters.
🐱Figure out what they ate: packaging, plant names, pill bottles, or the missing chocolate stash all help us act fast.
🐾 Skip the DIY fixes. Don’t induce vomiting unless a vet tells you to—some toxins are sneakier than a cat in a bathtub.
😱Stay calm and keep your pet safely contained while help is on the way.

What is a CCL tear?

* The cranial cruciate ligament stabilizes the knee (stifle) joint and prevents the tibia from sliding forward.
* When the ligament partially or fully tears, the knee becomes unstable, painful, and prone to arthritis.

CCL tears are considered the most common orthopedic injury in dogs and a leading cause of hind-limb lameness.

TPLO surgery changes the mechanics of the knee! 🦿

Rather than replacing the ligament, TPLO surgery changes the angle of the tibia so the knee remains stable without relying on the damaged CCL.

Rehab improves recovery!!!!! 💪

Post-operative rehabilitation can help:

* Reduce muscle atrophy
* Improve range of motion
* Increase weight-bearing
* Improve long-term function
* Speed return to activity

May 8 is National Animal Disaster Preparedness Day 🌪️🐾

Because when chaos hits, your pet is looking at you for the plan.
🐶Stock an emergency kit with food, water, meds, a leash or carrier, and one very important comfort toy.
🐾Make sure ID tags and microchips are up to date—lost pets don’t stay lost that way.
🐱 Have an exit plan (pet-friendly shelters, hotels, and a backup buddy).
And yes, practice drills help. Calm humans = calmer pets. A little prep now means way less panic later. We’re always here to help you get disaster-ready.
