🎃👻 Halloween Pet Safety Tips! 🐾🧡

🍫 Keep candy out of reach! Chocolate and sugar-free candy containing xylitol can be toxic to pets.

🎃 Keep candles, cords, and small decorations out of paws reach.

🐶 Give your pets a safe space! Halloween can be overwhelming for pets with all the doorbell ringing and visitors. Set them up in a quiet room where they can relax.

From all of us at Wendell Animal Hospital, have a safe and happy Halloween! 🎃🧡

🐱🐾 Happy National Cat Day! 🐾🐱

Today, we’re celebrating the fabulous felines who make our lives sweeter (and sometimes a little more chaotic! 😹).

From cuddly lap cats to mischievous troublemakers, every kitty has their own unique personality, and we wouldn’t have it any other way! 🐈💕

Our team has shared some photos of our own kitties and now it’s your turn! 📸 Drop a picture of your cat(s) in the comments below! We’d love to see all of their adorable faces. 🥰

How do I know if a symptom is an emergency or can I wait for a regular vet visit?

Your pet is acting weird, and now you’re wondering… Do I panic or just offer extra treats? 😬 Go to the ER ASAP if your pet:

Can’t breathe or is choking 😱

Collapses, has seizures, or is extremely lethargic 🛌

Is bleeding heavily or can’t keep water/food down 💧

Ingested something toxic, or a foreign body (yes, even chocolate or socks)

Rule of thumb: When in doubt, call your vet. Your pets are pros at being dramatic. But sometimes that drama is serious. Stay safe, friends. 🐶🐱❤️

🐾🌈 There’s a beautiful belief that on October 27th, our beloved pets who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge come back to visit us. ❤️

Maybe it’s a familiar sound, a special dream, or that feeling that they’re right beside us. 🥹

So tonight, keep your heart open. Maybe, just maybe, your sweet angel is stopping by to remind you that love never dies, and you’ll always be their home. 🐾💕✨

That’s a wrap on tech week! We participated in daily games, food, prizes, and ended the week at Raleigh Game Show for an afternoon of laughter! 😆

Hats off to the entire WAH team for being extra special, a little competitive, and filled with a whole lot of heart. 💜

🎉To make the final day of Tech Week extra special, we are closing today at 3pm for a fun surprise to our hard-working and dedicated team! 💚💜
