We are ready to take care of you and your sweet dogs and cats! Our doggy daycare and boarding facility will also be open and operating to assist your needs!!

Hello everyone,
Finally the snow arrived,We received a lot of snow in a very short amount of time here on Wendell Falls Parkway. Because of the weather conditions, we will keep you updated regarding our hours for tomorrow.
Please stay safe and warm out there — it is freezing cold! Make sure your sweet puppies are bundled up, and if you’d like to brighten our day, feel free to send us photos of them enjoying the snow ❄️🐶tag us on Facebook !!

Unfortunately due to ongoing unsafe conditions on many secondary roads, we have made the decision for the safety of our team and our clients to remain closed today.
At this time, we plan to reopen Tuesday, January 27 at 7:30 AM. Please call us before heading out to ensure that our team has been able to arrive safely.

Due to the upcoming major ice storm, Neuse River Veterinary Hospital and Doggy Daycare is closely monitoring conditions and planning carefully for the next few days with the safety of our clients, patients, and team as our top priority.
We are making every effort to remain open and continue caring for your pets. However, weather conditions may change quickly. Please call our office before heading out so we can confirm hours and ensure it is safe to travel.
Prescription Refills:
If your pet needs a prescription refill, please call us today so it can be processed and picked up today. This will help ensure your pet does not run out of medication in the event that we are unable to open on Monday.
We appreciate your understanding as we take proactive steps to do what is safest for everyone. Please avoid traveling when roads are icy, and stay home if conditions are unsafe.

December 31: We will be open from 7:30 AM until 12:00 noon.
January 1, 2026: We will be closed all day.

As we celebrate the Christmas holiday, our office will close at 12:00 noon on Christmas Eve, December 24, and will be closed all day on Christmas Day, December 25.
If you need any prescriptions refilled or would like to purchase food, please contact us no later than December 23 so we can accommodate your needs. It's getting chilly! 🥶Cold weather can affect your pet's joints, skin, activity, and routines. Here are a few tips to prepare your pet for wintertime:
- Provide a warm and cozy space off of the floor and away from drafts
- Sweaters or jackets are great for short-haired, small or senior pets
- Limit your pet's time outside in the extreme cold
- Some pets' nutrition needs might change during the winter. Talk to your vet if you think this might be the case.
