Apparently our social media break is causing some concern (for one person, but hey, I figured it is worth addressing). π So this is me taking a moment to post to say that we are alive and well.
We are currently in Missouri (Midwest USA) and it has been so incredibly hot!
For those who are new here - you may not be aware - but we take an annual break in the summer after our June shows until September shows. I have lupus and the summer heat is not my friend. π This is the time of year that I really should be migrating north for a few months (hint, hint, husband).
There's absolutely nothing unusual about the break. I've been doing it for 20 years.
Also...
If you commit to a year long wait with a breeder... 5 months is not enough time allotted before beginning to stress about whether the litter will happen or not.
Rude = suggesting that I may be having an illness or something that is causing a disruption in my breeding plans for the fall - because I took a social media break from the Chaland page over the summer. I do not owe anyone updates about my health. If litter plans are impacted, I would, of course, contact everyone on the waitlist for that litter. If you can't trust that I'm going to keep you informed of something so minor, then why on earth would you want to buy a puppy from me?!
Rude = suggesting other people are probably concerned also (instead of just owning that it is just you). Take accountability for yourself, your attitude, and your behavior.
Rude = talking over me the entire time I'm trying to tell you what *has* been happening in our lives over the summer & acting offended that I'm giving you the information you asked for. If you didn't want to know, you shouldn't have sent the email that necessitated the phone call.
Thanks for driving home the point I made to someone yesterday... personality fit is one of the most important things to me when placing a puppy. It's much kinder to my sanity to refund someone than commit to 14-15 years with them behaving that ^ way.
Carry on, folks! See you in September! π
(π we might have some exciting news very soon!)
