We do not receive any public or government funding and rely solely on donations from private individuals and volunteers to support and manage our shelter. Blanche (now Maple) has found her way from her foster home to her fur-ever home. 💕🐾 They took the time to allow her to unwind while at the shelter. Once they got to home, she opened up to show them her sweet self. 😍 She is in love with her new family.

We are blessed to have another of our foster dogs out for adoption. 🥰 Blanche (now Maple) is loving her new home with her fur-siblings. She has he own bed and "safe space kennel". She's warming up to the family so sweetly. 💕🐾

Fostering can make the world of difference for dogs. They don't always thrive at the shelter and need a place for us to see their personality. We were lucky to have this baby at a foster home. 🥰

Introducing MOOSE! 🐾

He is a young boy that wants a place to play. 🥰 He's a BIG BOY weighing over 80 pounds. (he's a bit on the chucky side and will slim down with a good diet, BUT he is young and continuing to grow) We have him listed as a Lab and Mastiff mix... but that is not DNA tested. It would be interesting to find out what his breed is. 😍

He's so happy to be with people. 🥰 Loves to go on an adventure - on a walk - sniffs everything to know what's around him. Unfortunately, his owner became ill and could not handle him any longer. We were able to assist the organization that he's working with to help the situation.

He will go to the vet soon for his annual vaccinations and will be available for adoption. He's so stinkin' cute and loveable. He could be the biggest couch potato or playmate in the back yard. 🐾💕🥰🐶😍

Not Housed at the Shelter.

This dog was found on a side road off of DD HWY. Found this morning. We would love to take it in, but we are SWAMPED FULL at the shelter. The finders will keep it safe for a few days while we try to find the OWNERS (with proof of ownership) or find a FOSTER. If you have any information or you are willing to foster, please message us. No microchip. No collar. Very energetic - not good around chickens.

We are so lucky to have two cats go home together. Just look at how Chaos (264 days) looks at his new human. 🥰 Montana (184 days) didn't want her picture taken. 😁 When cats go out together, it's fun for them as they have a partner to learn the new place. These two are going to have so much fun with these girls. 🐾 Dad really has his work cut out for him with 4 girls in the home. 💕 Congrats family!

Blanche and Dorthy 🐾💕 (sisters, bonded pair, currently with a foster) are both sweet cuddly puppies. They are the kind of puppies that would love to sit close to you, not right on you. Then, break out the Cheez-Its and it’s game on – forever friends!🥰

They both love to play with each other and other animals. They don’t mind the chickens too much. Occasionally, they like running through them, but we correct them on that. The goats - they’re not sure about them – they are funny looking dogs. 😁

They are crate trained. Working on potty training and walking on a leash. 😍😍They are unsure of new humans but will follow when walking around the house/yard. They’re pretty good with traveling as long as they don’t eat right before traveling.

This dog was found on Y HWY on the creek bank. If this is your dog, please contact the shelter manager via text at 573-842-0502. We are closed on Sunday and Monday. Dog is covered in ticks and fleas at this time. When found he was pretty lethargic but with some water and food, the dog is coming around. No collar, not microchipped. Will need proof of ownership.
