Department and the Pulaski County Ambulance District under the water tower. Adoption Fees: Ranging from $110-$200. All dogs come spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. We have 3 dogs who are absolutely hoping you will stop by the shelter and ask about them!!🤞

🩷 Simi has been at the shelter for 82 days!

💚 Edwin has been at the shelter for 79 days!

💜 Raven has been at the shelter for 51 days!

These pups are truly special souls who are looking for special homes! 🏠

🩷Simi is our 5 year old Mountain Cur Mix! She is fully potty trained but can be dog selective. Truthfully speaking, she would probably do amazing as someone’s riding buddy! Any truck driver looking for a pal?!

💚 Edwin is our 4 year old Heeler/Labrador Mix! Edwin is absolutely overwhelmed at the shelter. It feels like no matter what we try, stimulation wise, we cannot comfort him. Edwin is just not a pup that can handle shelter life! We cannot blame him at all for that! 💔 He would do well in an active household with older children! Edwin does well with most dogs he meets and sometimes has accidents. Edwin thrives in the water!

💜 Raven is our 1 year old Australian Shepherd Mix! Raven is truly the life of the party!! She loves to run and play! She is our ball of energy who would make any active family so happy! Raven loves other dogs but can play rough, which not every pup likes. She loves the water and does well with our pottying outside!

🐾 All three dogs have been fixed, received their vaccines, microchipped, dewormed and heartworm negative! 🐾

🐛Introducing Malenia!!! Malenia is a 2 year old hound mix! Who found her way into the shelter after she was found in the dollar general parking lot.

🐝Malenia has quickly became a staff favorite with her petite size and curious nose. She loves to go on long walks and smell anything and everything she comes across. She also seems to be potty trained!!! Malenia will come with all of her vaccines, spayed and microchipped.

✨ Meet Kiwi!

🥝 This sweet sweet girl is a 6 month old Dachshund mix!

🍋 Kiwi is the absolute sweetest! She just loves to sit in someone’s lap and cuddle! Kiwi came into the shelter with her sister Mango back in may! Mango has already been adopted and Kiwi is still here!

🍑 Kiwi was born with a birth defect that causes the leg bone by her elbow to be enlarged so she walks a little bow-legged. Kiwi has saw the vet and the shelter was told she is able to be adopted out with the adopters choice of orthopedic surgery! Without the surgery Kiwi will still be okay but will end up developing arthritis later on in life.

Meet Butch!

🌲 This handsome boy is a 4 year old Bloodhound mix!

🍁 Butch is the absolute sweetest boy! This boy just loves getting attention and going outside to work that nose of his! Butch knows basic commands and has pretty good leash manners!

🥾 Butch absolutely love’s going for walks, just as much as he likes to cuddle up in bed with someone! This sweet boy would be an awesome addition to any family, whether that be a family with an active life style or a more slow paced one!

🌷 If you guys remember Goose, Birdy, and Mavis, this is their sister! If you remember how sweet those three were, well Daliah is just as sweet! She loves making new friends and cuddling up with her favorite people.

🌸 Dahlia is little shy when she first meets a new person but warms up real quick! Especially with the promise of treats!

This sweet girl is a 2 year old Pitbull!

Amiri came in to the shelter severely underweight and is still making her recovery. Amiri is available for a foster to adopt, she is ready to get into a home that will love her and give her all of the attention she deserves while she recovers and gains weight! ✨

Amiri lives for attention and being around people! She love snuggling up in her bed and getting all the treats she wants! ☀️

Amiri is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and will be spayed when she is up to a healthy weight! 💉

Our Story

Welcome to the Waynesville Animal Shelter. At this time we are not equipped to handle any animals except for dogs. We are always looking for assistance with running the animal shelter. Thank you for taking the time to look around. If you have any questions, comments or concerns please contact Animal Control Officer Daniela Breedlove or Animal Control Officer Anjelica Olson at 573-774-6509. Location: 1502 Ousley Road, Waynesville, Missouri 65583 Near the Waynesville Fire Department and the Pulaski County Ambulance District under the water tower. Top of the Waynesville Hill across from the cemetery.
