The Humane Society of Greene County is dedicated to finding good homes for homeless dogs and cats and stopping abuse of animals in Greene County. We are still operating on an appointment basis and are closed to the public (aside from scheduled visits). Hi there! I’m Meg — a 2-month-old tuxedo kitten dressed to impress and ready to steal your heart!

I’m extremely outgoing, loving, and always ready for fun. Whether I’m chasing toys, pouncing on anything that moves, or exploring every corner of the room, I make sure life is never boring. I’ve got plenty of kitten energy and an even bigger personality!

But don’t let my playful side fool you — I’m also a world-class cuddler. I absolutely LOVE being held, snuggled, and showered with attention. If there’s a lap available, chances are I’ll find it. I’m happiest when I can curl up next to my favorite humans and purr myself to sleep.

I’m the perfect combination of playful and affectionate, making me an amazing companion for just about any family. If you’re looking for a kitten who will keep you laughing during the day and snuggling at night, I’m your girl!

I will be available for adoption in approximately 3 weeks (the week of June 15), so now is the perfect time to start dreaming about bringing me home. I can't wait to meet my forever family!

Hi there, I’m Royal! I’m a 5-year-old cattle dog mix with striking blue eyes that tend to stop people in their tracks. I’m a friendly girl, but I’m also the type who likes a little independence. I enjoy checking out my surroundings, following interesting scents, and finding the perfect sunny spot to stretch out and soak up some rays.

Don’t mistake my independent streak for not caring about my people — quite the opposite! I like knowing where my humans are and what they're up to. I’m happy to explore on my own for a bit, but I always like to keep tabs on my favorite people. Think of me as your loyal sidekick who occasionally needs to conduct important neighborhood inspections.

I have a calm, confident personality and would love a home where I can enjoy both adventure and relaxation. Whether I’m sniffing around the yard, lounging in the sunshine, or simply hanging out nearby, I’m happiest when I can be myself and share life with someone special.

Hi there! I’m Milo — a mixed-breed mystery man with a heart of gold and a smile that can brighten anyone’s day. The people at the shelter think I might be part hound, part collie, part shepherd... but honestly, your guess is as good as ours! Whatever mix I am, it created one very handsome and lovable dog.

I’m extremely sweet and friendly — in my world, there are no strangers, only friends I haven’t kissed yet! I absolutely love people and am happiest when I’m spending time with my favorite humans. Whether we're going for a walk, playing in the yard, or just hanging out together, I'm all in.

One of my favorite games is fetch. Throw a ball, and I’ll happily chase after it again and again. I’ve got a playful side, but I also have a soft side that loves attention, affection, and giving plenty of kisses. If you sit down, don’t be surprised if I come over to say hello and remind you just how much I love being around people.

I’m the kind of dog who makes every day a little brighter. Loyal, loving, playful, and always ready for an adventure, I’m searching for a forever family to call my own.
